Zomg Huntersvale!
Craythur was just a wee little Runepriest for the original Huntersvale Live Event. I have fuzzy recollections of taking part in a PQ in the RVR lake and hunting down all those tracks. That's about it. I was far too small and unconfident to be healing the Huntersvale instance at the time. So I didn't get the stag cloak. I came to regret that.
Being able to shapeshift instantly and run to safety would have been handy on numerous occasions. Being able to run through the lower tier rvr lakes while not looking like a *ahem* "stout" free kill in a bath robe might have saved me from a couple of WE gankings. Maybe not. But I found myself constantly wishing I had got one of those cloaks while I could. Mythic eventually released the instance as a T1 dungeon so there were plenty of newer folks with cloaks in the lakes to remind me of what I had missed.
A year later and Huntersvale is back. This time the cloak would be mine! It took some time and effort to get groups together willing to hit Huntersvale more than once. Several initial attempts fell apart as folks would leave the group as soon as they got their cloak. Things were beginning to look bleak. Then some family members and I made a pact of sorts to run the instance until we all had a cloak. I'm not sure how many times I ran the instance this weekend. 20 times? In the end, both Craythur and Whateley got cloaks. Lots of folks helped along the way. Mad props to Akascha and Schwanzee for running the instance with me over 12 times until everyone in our original groups got their cloak.
That was a lot of PVE for one weekend. I think it's safe to say that if I don't see Huntersvale again until 2011 that would be just fine. Unless of course I can get a T3 group together for my little shadow warrior...
