In Which Doc Sets Up Camp And I Loot Everything!

By: Danzig

This was the second open beta testing event for Fallout 76 that happened recently (the third one will be tomorrow friends) and Doc was nice enough to set up a key so that I could join him.

After spending a good hour or so actually figuring out how to play the game, we got to meet up at a camp of his that was already set up with work stations and turrets galore.

The workstations that you capture throughout the world spawn events every hour that will have you defend them against npc mobs and that was the first part of the game I experienced with Doc - so armed with a machete that he made I helped him clear out that event. The nice parts of these events is that even if you're low level and not very good at killing things you still get loot for event completion - and everyone gets their own loot for that as well as the loot that the mobs drop.

We then traveled around to some of the local attractions in which I got lost looting everything that wasn't nailed down. Luckily for me you can port back to your friend without cost if you get left behind while trying to grab that last probably irradiated Salisbury Steak.

The game felt like a Fallout game and I am eager to get a bit more game play into it tomorrow as it seems like the major charm of it will be in the crafting and camp building systems that exist.

Oh and Thank you Doc for being very patient with my frustrations at gameplay confusion, lol.
