My Brother Alaois Foglhadha

By: Foghladha

By Banning Foglhadha

My brother Alaois Foglhadha, son of Alexis Foglhadha, grew up in the city of Howth. In his early years he practiced with archery however never really developed a talent for it. In fact one time late in spring he attempted to shoot a bear with newly crafted bow and ended up hitting a local villager in the arse. It was quite funny actually; however the man he shot didn't think so. So to teach him a lesson my mother and the chief of our village decided to send my unskilled brother to college.

My brother always had his head in the clouds dreaming of things magical and mystical. My mother picked him out a nice college in city of Cork and he was sent off. I did not see my brother for 15 seasons until one day, my brother, now grown into a man walked through our cottage door. Seems while he was away he met a young lass by the name of Daghdre, and he had brought her home to show her where he grew up. Daghdre and him were inseparable and they were like a young couple blessed with being in love. Reminded me of my lost love Aryona who left long ago to seek out her family.

It also seems that in his age, he too did not grow to be as tall as our mother. Yet what can we expect having a lurikeen father and human mother? We were 2 of the tallest lurikeen in the land. However this did have its drawbacks. People often times made fun of us. The lurikeens teased us because were so tall and celts teased us because we were so short. But this too passed in time. As my talents developed in lurking in the night and Alaois developed his magical skills we both found our place in society.

He came to join the Gaiscioch na Anu family in hopes it would bring him and my mother closer together. She had seemed a little separated since my father's death and sometimes out right frightening. He also talked Daghdre into joining the family who didn't seem to put up much resistance. She's says her parents back home wont even let her the city without one of them holding her hand. She jumped at this opportunity to get away from her parents.

Since my mother's sister has resurfaced Alaois, Daghdre, and Katrina's daughter Ryean oftentimes go on hunts together. Daghdre really seems to like it here and I'm sure she will be sticking around.
