RIFT Patch Timeline

I know some of you were wondering when 1.9 might hit so I figure I'll share how i'm calculating drop dates for releases.

1.0 Planes of Telara: Wednesday, February 23, 2011 - Head Start Launch

1.1 River of Souls: Wednesday, March 30, 2011 - 5 Weeks

1.2 Spoils of War: Tuesday, May 10, 2011 - 6 Weeks

1.3 Waves of Madness: Wednesday, June 22, 2011 - 6 Weeks

1.4 Legacy of the Fallen:  Wednesday, August 3, 2011 - 6 Weeks

1.5 Ashes of History:  Wednesday, Sept 28th 2011 - 8 Weeks

1.6 From the Embers: Wednesday, Nov 16th 2011 - 7 Weeks

1.7 Carnival of the Ascended: Thursday, Feb 2nd 2012 - 11 Weeks (Holidays & 1 Year Celebration)

1.8 Infernal Dawn: Wednesday, April 18th 2012 - 11 Weeks

1.9 ?: ETA June 6th - June 13th. If you use their average release cycle. If they moved to a 11 Week development cycle we're looking at July 4th Launch. However E3 is June 5-7th and Trion's got an announcement to make so my guess is they want 1.9 publicly released by E3. Those attending check out Booths (PMR304C,823). Next patch is 1.10 or 2.0 which has been hinted at being an expansion launch. So if all goes well 2.0 might be out between July 18th and Aug 22nd, Right in time for PAX.

If what you said is true, Fog, with 2.0 dropping those dates (if the next one would be 2.0), it would coincide what a lot of people assume the new WoW expansion is to hit (late august at the earliest is people's guesses). I don't know if that would be good for Trion or not. And I don't know if this could coincide with 1.9, but the Summerfest World Event supposedly starts June 27th, according to the screenshot here http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/1136244-Summerfest-comes-to-Telara Not sure if they will release 1.9 before, or at the time this world event is supposed to happen. So that would give it (if it was released the 27th) a release date of 10 weeks after 1.8. But they might release it like a week before, which would be 9 weeks between. I just honestly hope they don't go the 5-6 month interval.

If you think about it. They've done 11 week cycles the past 2 patches. This would easily be explained by the fact that the majority of their team is working on an expansion and they have a partial crew kicking out 1.7, 1.8, 1.9 while development of the expansion is in full swing. If they stick to 11 weeks for 1.9 then looks like July 4th. However if you've taken any time on the test server you can see that their pretty far on the testing process. The new world event will come after launch of 1.9 as the entire city has been re-arranged. Check out the PTS. A lot is different. They turned on Gloamwood Instant Adventures yesterday and Stonefield is up next.
