I had enough people asking so I verified with Fog what we are doing with this. The following are the rules of what can go in:

Vault 1 - bags and scrolls

Vault 2 - crafting stuff

Vault 3 - Armor, weaons, and planar essence/focus

Vault 4 - only tab for dimension stuff - we have spillage into vault 5 at the moment

Vault 5 - artifacts as the primary, but a spot to put things that don't fit elsewhere other than dimension stuff - that will be shrunk to one tab.

Armor, weapons and planar items must be BLUE or better

NO POTIONS

If the bank is full for the vault an item can go in - sell the item, salvage it, or find a guildie who really wants it. Do NOT mail anything to Fog or it will be returned to sender.

-------------------------------------------------------

So there's the rules so you all know. Since these are freshly written, I'm going to wait until Sunday 11/6 to overhaul the bank of anything that does not belong there. After that I will be checking it regularly to see how things are going.

Items not belonging will be sold on Sunday and added to the money pot in the guild bank. So if you put something in that does not fit any of the allowed categories or is overflowing on a tab not designated for it and you want the money for yourself get it out now.

DO take things you see that you WILL use regardless of who put it there. That's what the bank is for though we have to be picky to ensure space works.

Thanks for playing the game and wanting to share even if we do have to be smart with space. :D

Go for 'G' rated. I dare you! =D Your words carry far more weight and power than you will ever know. Never expect people to take them the same way either.

I'm confused, where Vaults 4 & 5? There is only 3 tabs in the guild bank, The Guild Stash, Treasure Trove and Deep Cave. Is this something that is coming?

Kissa,

This is for RIFT not Guild Wars 2 :)

Thank you Bri!  It's a shame the dimension items are so prone to overpopulate.  They are useful, but too common.

Economy wise I feel Trion could greatly help the dimensions economy with a small tweak.  Let Dreamweavers salvage them for a single Dream Ribbon.  Or a stack of N for a single dream ribbon.  Not sure of the exact numbers but it would help a lot.

Opps, sorry I hadn't read this. I put a few minions in the guild bank last night, though I think I put them in the correct space, I don't know for sure. I'll remember to use this guide next time.

Hi all, just letting you all know there is now a guild storage dim. The goal is to keep the bank space freed up by players going to the dim storage and dropping items rather than the bank. Myself and Ron created it and hope to keep it organized. You can find it by going to guildmates simply type in storage and you will see the anywhere dim named guild storage and the ownders name Olestre. I have created a new item area you can drop off items and I will try to organize it as it grows, however if your feeling frisky by all means place the items in its proper locations. Thank you and hopefully this helps free up some bank space at least free up one bank slot for other contributes. -Raynastar

Thanks for the info, I checked this out and was verifying who and what was really done with stuff. I am glad you made something we could use and did not move stuff out of the bank without confirming what you could do. I only state this because the leaders need to know what is going on and that something bad is not happening. I'm really glad it was you and Ron who are veteran members that did this, so this elder is relieved.

So having said that, we should use this option to throw dimension items to be shared by the guild. Feel free to take what you will use. There is no way to know who does what here, but we are a family based on honor. I'm so glad of that and that's why I've been here seven years and enjoy helping this crazy crew do their best and have fun together!

I have a character - Elenalore - who is a newbie miner / forager / butcher. And without thinking it through I put some of what she has been getting in the guild bank. Afterwards it occurred to me that you all might not want low-level crafting mats junking up the place. Shall I keep those to myself from now on?

Id really like to see mats limited to using the marketplace to fill work orders with. need to get more people using it. the marketplace was built so our bank didnt get clogged up. i think artifacts need their own tab. dimension items need to be limited to 1 tab. i need to reserve any big ticket (25+ plat) dimension items for prizes for the Telara Saga. but yeah the marketplace was built to handle the materials side of this.

I know we have to work on putting the newest stuff of the game into the marketplace as well - some from the ground up due to new materials. I haven't had time to do much yet other than figure out how to get somewhere in the game again and then finally play out fixing up an L65 toon with Starfall Prophecy. I'm looking forward to doing more with this after Thanksgiving and when my husband is working again. I have lots of time on my hands for things, but no regular schedule other than the things I do at church. Otherwise it's pretty wonky around here, but GOOD!

So I'll be trying to see what is going on with the marketplace as far as new stuff not there. Not sure the best way to organize this so everyone can help out somehow. Maybe a post of first raw items you would love to have more of but not finding with info on what crafter uses it and at what level so a price can be determined. From there we can then have people learn to enter recipes they know of not in there and us elders with time and playing can verify the information.

The marketplace is quite a cool setup though it needs a lot of catching up. We can even get crafted dimension pieces on there, too.

For now if you want to share, one of our veteran members Olestre has a dimension set up for guild storage of dimension items. You can go to Demensions and pick guildmates, then search for 'guild storage' and it should show up. It has a few areas arranged and I know we have had people putting things there for the guild to share.

As for dimension items, the high cost, rare ones are fun to add into the prizes for the Telera Saga, which Fog will be starting in February and I think will run for three months, once a week. For those who were not in Rift way back when, this is similar to what he has done in GW2, where even legacy items could be had as a prize for showing up.

Speaking of the market place. I look there regularly for orders to fill. I've a ton of NTE mats, dim items and artifacts. I've numerous guilds for storage. So...

Also the market place needs some updating. :D

We are on the stage of getting new materials in that are the base of everything. Part of that is making sure they fit the point system already there to make it fair in cost to everything else. Once the base materials exist, we can teach people how to add recipes to it and they get confirmed by a select crew that has access to editing and verifying them. It took a few hundred man hours between a crew of people just to get the base made for this game and then they changed it and we had to do it all over again. Yeah, that was interesting.

But some parts only Fog can do for many reasons. I'm not even gonna want to touch those parts and I've helped build all the marketplaces we have some way or another. ;) I'll at least can help with info and then the fun with the addition of recipes and verification.

Lilou, the system is a bit tricky to enter, but if you have a list of items not in the marketplace that you have details on and feel you have a good understanding of the crafting system in the game then contact Fog directly and offer help.

I know in GW2 it took a small team of us entering things for days to get the system built.  I also developed a deep appreciation for the system after I messed up some components and I think it was Lakshmi that had to spend some time cleaning up my work ><

Think of the marketplace system as a big pyramid.  If one stone is placed wrong it can mess up the whole structure.

Well, I don't claim to have a good understanding of anything in Rift, but as a librarian I have a decent understanding of databases and the importance of accurate data entry. :) So if there's anything I can do to help with my limited skills, I'm willing to pitch in. That's assuming that the guild's current level of investment in this game justifies that much effort. It sounds very time- and labor-intensive.

As far as the marketplace goes, it seems every time I check I have no work orders.  I think since I have joined, I have only had one to fill.  I know you are working on things but didn't know if this needed to be said to help figure out things.  Happy hunting all. ~Cleonna (Rift)
