Novice Dungeon Runs
So, what this all about?
I've heard people talking both in guild chat and in RaidCall about need for more organized dungeon events, and since I always like both a good fight and the process of learning and teaching a good fight, I've decided to organize a weekly event of going through the different dungeons. Each week, we'll tackle a different dungeon in at least Story mode, possibly Explorable mode (depending who shows up and what experience they have) and help folks to learn the dungeons and the fights in a (relatively) stress-free environment.
Who should come? Can I join?
All classes are welcome to attend, and all levels as well (as long as you meet the dungeon requirement). If you've never run a dungeon before, this will be the time to learn. The main focus of these runs will be to get time playing with family as well as learning/completing those dungeons.
What's the plan? Who will I play with?
The event is planned for two runs through the dungeon. If enough people show up, we'll switch up groups for the second run (so that everyone gets a chance to play with different people and learn different class dynamics).
This first week will be a trial run of this format, so please be patient while we work out any kinks or any other organizational issues that come with a first event. Once the event has completed, please feel free to leave feedback either here or with me personally and we'll work each week to make this event fun for everyone that shows up.
week one: Ascalonian Catacombs (Story Mode)
For our first week, we'll be hitting the first dungeon of Guild Wars 2, Ascalonian Catacombs. This dungeon is located in the Plains of Ashford, the Charr 1-15 area. We'll be meeting up at the waypoint for the dungeon (Phasmatis Corridor), where we'll divide into various groups (if needed)
We'll try to run the dungeon twice during the event (though we'll adjust this depending how fast everyone progresses), so if you miss the first run, we'll get you included in the second run (or to fill in as needed with other groups). We may also attempt Explorable mode, depending on if the desire/numbers are there.
