Hey guys, we have a bunch of great evetns on our GW2 calendar. But I feel like there is still so much more that we could do or things we can expand on.

So I would like to use this post as a kind of poll to find out what kind of events we'd like to see our family engage in. I am willing to lead a a whole bunch of different evets. So let me know what you think my friends and family and we'll see what we can work with <3

Looking to get back into leading events,

Jay

What about achievement hunting? or collections completion? I could also help lead those!

Well currently it seems we have 2 raiding, 2 guild missions and 2 fractal events. So those are covered. Only thing what comes to mind regarding those, is maybe high level fractal event.

Then we have 1 dungeon event, 1 sort of achievement hunt event and 1 meta/loot event. Gma has her map clear events, but I think both of those are for low level zones so maybe medium to high level map clears would be nice to have.

We have multiple wvw events, but all of those are happening NA prime time so wvw event on EU prime time would be nice also. And then final aspect of the game, PvP. For that we don't have anything.

So I would say either have high level fractal event, medium/high level  map clears, wvw event or pvp event. Of course nothing prevents you to having multiple events. My two cents for this :P

Lolhost: on Fridays we have at least story achievement event called Once Upon a Time and if someday everyone has gotten all story achievements, I will revamp my event to something else :) And of course nothing prevents you having your own event.

Just to set the times straight that I could lead events, I would be available between 7 am pst and 6 pm pst on most days.

I might not make it, but I would love to see people filling in the holes for EU and other prime times besides NA ones. We do have quite a range of times and things to do and Mika summed it up nicely. But we do have plenty of weekday holes EU peeps would probably love to see some WvW in or as someone suggested higher end map clears and fractals events. GMa's Saturday event is the one she will take up to the 80 zones for full map clear over time since she switched it up a bit ago but not everyone can make that either.

Thanks to the people responding because it helps those who want to lead or might be thinking about learning to lead to be inspired because someone wants to show up and do stuff.

Go for 'G' rated. I dare you! =D Your words carry far more weight and power than you will ever know. Never expect people to take them the same way either.

Dungeons, Fractals, WvW and upper level map is always good.  There are many that get bored with my map clears because they are too slow. Still thinking on doing beginner jumping puzzles. Where ever and whatever you feel comfortable with Jay! There is always room for another event.

Achievement hunting, collections, achievements in wvw, achievements in fractals, achievements in dungeons, achievements about beer, achievements about meats, about wine, about shoes, about armors. All the achievements.

And current events, and map achievements.

DO ALL THE ACHIEVEMENTS _o/

ALL OF THEM

Would definitely like some PvE events during the NA prime time hours.  Yes, we have two raid events and an achievement hunting event but those are held during the European prime time. The NA prime time is dominated by WvW events Tuesday through Saturday---last Friday there were two WvW events held at the same time.

well Jay's events won't go later than 6pm pst as he noted. Maybe I could work out an evening thing, but at the moment I tend to join in the WvW when on NA prime time. I know some shifting is going on with some weekend things of timing of what Fog and Pookah ar doing, but Pookah is definitely WvW.

Let me go dig and see what is up with the calendar and my time too. Anyway, I know Jay is probably going to help out our EU prime time due to his schedule.

I enjoy WvW as much as anyone in the guild (current rank is Gold Soldier), but I just want to see a few more PvE events in the NA prime time when most of the guild is in game.

I miss events like those run by Shimi , Aoibheann, and Soren.  If it was not for Shimi and Namrie guiding us on the Ember Bay jumping puzzle, I would have never completed it.  Same with the SW jumping puzzle.  I did various achievements in Aoibheann's events.  Soren's Friday event was my intro to GW2 raiding.

So far everyone in this thread has a good job summarizing Gaiscioch's current event situation for GW2. More events of any kind is always welcomed; but here are some things I have noticed as an active member who attends many of these events. We have events for raiding, fractals and WvW twice a week thanks to many of the people in this thread. There are also events at least once a week for story achievements and map completion.

I believe a regular Collection achievement event would be amazing since there are so many of them and many people either do them all at once or forget about it and move on. Some of them such as Exalted Masks for the Aurillium home instance node or Lion's Arch Exterminator for Princess are extremely beneficial to complete, yet can be hard for others. The other aspect of PvE that is lacking some would be Current Events. Yes Mika leads a very helpful Living Story event, but there are many Current Event achievements that are hidden and many people simply do not know that they exist. Many of them such as the Priory vs Consortium Leyline collection event in Blazeridge can be difficult now since most people have moved on and it often fails.

The biggest thing I feel we need though is PvP guild content. Yes there is WvW but GSCH has rarely dabbled in structured PvP even since the game's launch. Now that the system as a whole has been widely revamped and the rewards are so well...rewarding it is my opinion that we desperately need to have some sort of weekly event involving PvP. It could be in the Guild Hall arena or a private room from the Game Browser where dueling and team fights could be encourage in a nurturing aspect instead of the negatively that is often associated in rated games. I have considered hosting such an event myself as while I am not the best PvPer (my rank varies from high Gold to low Platinum), I have adept knowledge of each of the professions since I had to play them all to get The Ascension ascended back item. My main concern has simply been interest as it seems the majority of the guild has interest in PvE with a small amount preferring WvW. It seems a lot of members are just intimidated starting another aspect of the game in a similar manner to fractals and raiding though so the waters may just have yet to be tested.

I will share my experience in trying to organize a GSCH PvP team for the first ranked season that started at the end of 2015.  There was interest in fielding a team but with the guild having members all over the world in different time zones and with different schedules, getting everyone together at the same time was a major issue which proved insurmountable. Looking back at how Anet conducted the first season, I now believe we could have had a team with less than five players but at the time I did not know that.  I also sensed a degree of "elitism" with guild members who achieved a high level of skill in PvP not wanting to team up with members with no or little experience.  When I tried to followup with members who had initially expressed interest in being part of a guild team, I would get no response.  After the season started, I would see these members in PvP but not repping GSCH.

If you decide to host unranked events, I suggest that you just set a date and time then put together a team based on who shows up.  Also, decide whether you want to group with players at your PvP level or are open to having players with no experience.  I understand unranked PvP can be very competitive.  Because the ranked season is now restricted to solo and duo Q only, pro level players are teaming up and playing unranked.

Like to see variety of more achievement events like one you did one time for Princess, those would be nice, things linked to bosses, JPs, a variety would be cool

I kind of burned myself out on PVE in other games, so achievements, HP trains, map completion and WvW events are my preferred playstyle in GW2. Whatever is scheduled, I'd like for more of it to include the west coast time zone. Getting home and fed by 5 in the afternoon is difficult.

edit: Just noticed that time slot has Rift events, so maybe there won't be much demand. Rift isn't my thing. Guess I'll just keep following Cloud Fly all over the wvw map. Who knows, I might understand some Mandarin before the next server pairings. :D
