Crazy as it sounds I think RC is causing issues with my home network.  >.<

Over the past week my computer has been crashing out of the "household" network.  Vunter was kind enough to help/walk me through testing my network settings. After several hours of extensive testing and retesting the network itself seems to be stable and causing no issues. However, I am still being dropped like a hot potatoe. After much talking the modem was replaced today but the problem is still present. In the beginning it was just my computer that was having issues, now the entire network crashes (ie, every computer on the network) when I am online using RC along with Guild Wars 2.

Not only are we booted offline but the network itself seems to "disappear" until we reboot the modem and apple time capsule. All fingers point back to my computer since everything works fine until I log in and start playing guild wars 2 while running RC. I have uninstalled and reinstalled RC hoping things would auto fix but that isn't the case.

I'm hoping all the smart IT people in the guild would have some advice on what the problem may be and how I can fix it. Otherwise I will have to buy a seperate modem for my computer just so I don't interrupt any one elses online time.

Thank you again to everyone who has helped me/ will help me / could help me. I appreciate every one of you!!

Please list out your network setup.

ie. modem make/model/firmware version

router make/model/firmware version

who is your internet provider, adsl, cable etc?

Where abouts in the world are you based?

How many computers are on the network, wireless/wired ?

I believe we narrowed it down to the router. I'll know tomorrow after I get the new one and install it. If this doesn't fix things then I'm giving up and buying my own modem. lololol
