Several of us need POI's in WvW for map completion and have voiced frustration at not being able to get them. I would like to request a Commander to help us organize our own family zerg to accomplish this. Thank you.

I think the biggest problem with doing this is there's no way to do it during prime time hours or the weekend without taking up another guild's spot that's actually there to wvw. Or without the commander leading our event being yelled at by the rest of the map for taking up map space with a map completion zerg.
But that's just my opinion, and I know it's probably not a popular one considering we do have quite a few who need wvw map completion.
I'm all for it. I need one Vista in Eternal Battlegrounds for map completion, but that keep has been under JQ control for a month now.
Caytlynne usually leads a Karma train in SoR on Fridays ( Sometimes in BG & JQ also), and has expressed a willingness to lead a zerg for map completion in EB during her scheduled event. If I recall correctly, her WvW events happen on Friday's around 12pm server ( 3pm EST,) when guilds mostly run Karma trains and are not actively looking for battles. Plus, WvW is not busy at that time. Anyhow, when in game or on Raidcall, try to chat with her about it if she doesn't see this thread.
Yeah, sorry I wasn't trying to say it couldn't happen, just that it's unlikely to be possible during the prime time hours.
As Xensa pointed out, the karma train which our server does on Fridays would be your best bet for map completions.
Keep in mind that our server will switch colors every so often. So if there's a particular tower or area which is usually in another team's territory just wait until our server color changes and grab it then. This is what's worked well for me in EB in particular.
Unfortunately, WvW is too random to plan ahead for this sort of thing. When we rally 20 or more people together for WvW, we rarely get to choose the map. It's never certain which Map will have room to accommodate our numbers at any given time. It's also never certain that we will have the opportunity or manpower to capture a specific point even if we do end up on the right map.
For big objectives, best bet is to simply join up with as many WvW events as you can, and once a map is chosen, let the WvW commander at the start of the event know if there are any POI's you'd be very grateful to get hold of. There's no guarantee the WvW commander will have opportunity to accommodate you (they naturally can't be expected to sacrifice defence of a Keep just for a POI in a far off camp), but I'm sure any of them would be happy to at least attempt to fit a specific objective into their run to help people out - it just can't be their primary focus.
A smaller commando force might be able to work towards more specific, small scale POI's like camps, or perhaps even sneak a tower capture. Smaller numbers give a much better chance of freely switching to specific maps without long cues, and won't be depended on as much by the overall server for other tasks.
Alternatively, as Thora says, every so often the colours will change, so an objective that is unassailable, deep in enemy territory this week, might turn up right outside our home camp next week. Best bet for solo WvW map completion is to take note of which colour we are, grab as many POI's near our home camps as you can over the week, then patiently keep checking in during following weeks for our team to change colour, and when it does repeat the process and then hope it won't be too long a wait for the final colour. If you happen to see Stonemist within the Eternal Battlegrounds in our possession, immediately make a run for the POI's inside - every other POI should be relatively easy with patience.
It will take time... First Thora and Dargon have made valid points...
I have all of the WvWvW points but it took me from launch until about a month ago. There really isn't a way to plan this - or even accomplish it even if you have a family zerg. To get the ones in EB are horrendous since an average of 30 people just can't take the defended keeps - it has to be an SOR combined effort. This is the same way with some of the keeps in the other BLs. In T1 they are aggressively defended.
I did it by popping and hopping in and out of the different BL's to see when SOR had possession of the objectives. There were many narrow escapes - and many deaths. If you run with the family during the WvWvW events you can gather many of them and on slow times even get the skill points. But asking for a family zerg for this accomplishment - although a "nice to accommodate" probably won't happen.
Just being realistic... if we scheduled an event for this more than half that would show up would be "non" WvWvW'ers Isince they never get these objectives) and this would make taking those objectives even more difficult. As it stands now we get 30 - 40 on good events to run in WvWvW and we all want to be there fighting the enemy - but we can't take a well defended keep by ourselves. The hopping in and out - is about the best solution.
In my opinion Friday before reset is the best time to do this... Most people are just goofing off out there at that time.
Friday before reset is the best time to get map completion.
Start hoping in BLs and ask in "/m or /t" if a karma train is on map. Or hop in TeamSpeak "ts.zerodrama.org" and ask what Bl the karma train is located in. They will be in the TS channel with about 100 people in it. once you meet up with the mob of death, just follow it and see what you get. A perfect karma train will never hop maps, but BG rarely allows that. If you are on a map with a point you need feel free to request the train to attack it in teamspeak or /m /t, the worst they can say is no (lol j/k they can say way worse things... Stone skin is recommended in teamspeak) Anyway just see what you get.
The key to WvW map competition is to never fret. In T1 taking rear towers or enemy garrisons is quite difficult and sometimes you simply have to hope for the color change on friday.
Also if you are running in a family event feel free to ask for a target to be hit. I know most family commanders will try to work in a non PPT (Points Per Tick) beneficial attack if possible. Understand though that it rarely is.
I'm willing to try if people are willing to get up early Sunday morning. Meet in Raidcall at 6 am pst, see who needs what and what the battlefields look like...go from there.
If this sounds good to you let me know and I'll pop it on the calendar.
FYI.... 3:00PM: Killashandra's WvW Map Complete for this (edit) Friday - ya'll better show up and support it.
Okay, if it's covered then cool. Was just following the thread here. Good luck!
@ Morigana - The event says Friday. Is it for Friday or Saturday?
Doh.... Senior moment ;( It is listed as Friday.
