Interest Check: Marketplace Advancement Event

Hi all:

I wanted to ask if anyone would be interested in events that will help with your advancement in the Family marketplace on this website. what would you like to do at such an event? 

Now, i'm NOT speaking of the basic 101 - style events that we periodically hold, I'm thinking of an event targeted at helping family gain more marketplace points for themselves, which will help you advance in rank a little easier (or faster). Think of it as "hands on training", for want of a better description. 

Aside from indicating your interest in such an event, let me know if there are any specific topics or questions you want answered, any goals you currently have, things you don't understand or need clarification on, etc... all of this will help me make a better event for everyone.

Kinda interested in what exactly you have in mind for a marketplace advancement event. Could be a little bit more specific?

Ok, I'm going to file this one under "doing too many things at once".

the actual title for this type of event should be CONTRIBUTION Advancement instead of marketplace advancement.  Sorry about that, I don't know how i got confused, but the basic idea is the same. 

Once again, this is NOT going to be the basic 101 - style events that we periodically hold - think of it more as "hands on training".  Right now, I really can't say much more than that - this is still very much in idea format in my head. I hope that your responses will help me better flesh out the ideas i have.

Would this be similar to a gathering event followed by a 'fill whatever market orders we can at the end of said event' kind of thing? Sounds like it could be fun and would help a lot of the family out in various ways. I'd be up for it so long as the time works for me :)

I know in order to make things I really need to gather T6 materials before I can make any of the requested items.  I'm definitely loaded on T1-T4, somewhat light on T5, and sparce on T6.  Pretty much the items on the marketplace are all exotic T6 and a few rare T5 deals with a few random items outside that.

So maybe gathering rush for part of it and then time to work out who is making what and we swap items so things can be made.

I think we still have bags on there and I know I can make those up today probably.  Hmm, might go do that right now while I let it warm up more before I take the dog for a walk though he actually is happily outside on his outdoor bed on the porch.  =)

hmm... seems as though there is some interest, we seem to have 2 of the 3 people needed to form the event. 

As i said, this is still in idea format, so give me some time to flesh this out, keep an eye on the calander, next month may be very interesting indeed.....
