Looking Ahead

I'm going to begin this post by thanking everyone who's taken part in the events I've run in the past. I have found the experience both extremely challenging and rewarding. I started this not knowing how well I would do as an event leader, and wanting to repay the trust and help I've revived from the elders in the group.   I hope that I've succeeded so far, and once again, thanks to everyone who's taken part - your participation is helping me to continue to grow. 

I've been debating this post for awhile now, but after reading Thursday's post on Guildwars2.com, I felt the time is right for me to try something new. Up until recently, I've mainly created events "on a whim" for want of a better explanation. Moving forward, I'm going to be shifting the focus of some of my events. I will Primarily be focusing on obtaining achievements for the current Living World story. These events will mainly be on Saturday at 6pm. For most of them, i will be planning them once guildwars2.com releases information to the website. This will mean that an event will be posted, but not a meeting place. Right now, it appears as though the meeting place will be given at the time of the event, although i will try my best to update the website event as often as possible, but with limited time, this is something i'm going to have to work on. 

I have a few other events and event types in mind, but I also want to know what types of events the family wants. I've setup a short 10-question survey to help me with event planning. I plan on running the survey for at least a week, (maybe longer), to give as many family members a chance to participate as possible. I feel this will help me plan better events moving forward, and with the upcoming changes to crafting, champions and other areas, give me a better all-around idea on what our PvE players want to do.

I will be using this for planning the events i run starting August 1st. Please send me your feedback, I'd especially like to know if you would like to see a survey/poll such as this repeated, and the results used for the next month's event content.

Thanks to all who took the time to fill out the survey. It didn't take long for me to realize that while i had a good idea, something went horribly, HORRIBLY wrong in the execution. I need to re-analyze what I did, and compare it to what i want to get out of it, and re-post the survey. I'll update here with an updated version.

I realize this may seem a bit odd to some, however based on how Anet has changed the game, and recent statements about how the game will be changing, there are a lot of events that we can create and do to help acclimate new and old players to the changes, while also allowing players to obtain more achivement points faster. This survey is designed with this in mind. 

I welcome any and all feedback, and hope you will take a few mins to complete the survey.
