Is the summary of next weeks update and includes a fairly major statement anoud 2/3 of the wya down.

"We’re introducing our largest balance patch ever in this build, which includes significant updates to traits and skills to introduce more viable build diversity. Every single profession trait line is seeing changes and we’ve also made updates to some less popular skills to improve their effectivenes."

Man, I ***JUST*** FINALLY finished Tabitha's Bunker BM / Heal Support Ranger build.  Although I guess that, (after what, 9 months?) some tweaks to the release system are probably in order.  >_>

Same here, just finished getting exotics for three of my six level 80 toons and was just getting ready to outfit another yesterday when I heard about this. Oh well, it is what it is! At least I didn't get them all dressed up in shiny new gear!

I don't think it will change my gear at all, but it might change the traits and the way I play her.  Just remembered it might change what I was building for Sekkerhund, too.  All my other toons are in rebuilding phases, anyway, so don't care but I was going to finally publish the build that I use for Tabitha, this weekend.  LOL  /ohwell

I just hope they allow us to reallocate our trait and skill points without having to purchase the ability to do so.

Other than that, I look forward to the balancing of professions, because my main is a Ranger and Rangers could use a little love from Anet...for a change.  If there are going to be future changes like this update, perhaps a well-rounded build is the way-to-go in dealing with future GW2 updates.

I don't think the changes are going to ruin any existing builds, although they might require some tweaking after the update. 

@ Xensa: I wouldn't be surprised if they did refund everyone's trait points with the patch, but it's not expensive at all to simply retrait a character as it is. I just retraited my ele and it only cost me about 6 silver to refund her trait points. 

I play a mantra mesmer with power, precision, and critical damage on my armor with power, vitality, and critical damage on my trinkets. The new tweaks, based on the leaked patch notes, doesn't seem to affect me much in terms of armor but will increase the viability of some of the mantra related traits.

That's good, Mantra Mesmers are usually dismissed as a viable build. although those that make them do play them very well.

I liked the changes.

Engies lost their best stun breaker(elixer R), but now we will be able to create an effective main weapon build(pistol/rifle). Currently most of engie builds rely on kits as their main attack skills, leaving us with few slots for non kit utilities. I will like having rocket boots as a gap closer as well.
