Returning to GW2 - requesting advice

I'm looking to take a break from my current game and return to GW2 after a few (3+) years away, but could use some advice.

I have several 80's (darn alt-a-holic-ism) and had worked through to The Icebrood Saga, 2. Shadow in the Ice.

My hands are not what they used to be so I'm hesitant to start a character from scratch to relearn everything because there were story sections I just barely scraped by the first time around. However, just jumping in again with an existing 80 and pushing on from where I left off feels overwhelming because I've forgotten so much.  Maybe I should take an 80 and replay the story, skipping over the chapters that I struggle with?

Thoughts? Suggestions?

He said: "Welcome as to stories etc, join events with Gma on Saturdays to do map clear .. no one left behind either .. and there are many to assist you or join in stories .. so don't worry at all. - map clear is also a way to level and gain items for inventory and crafting - hope that helps a bit"
