has anyone here played a Templar Tank?

So I was planning on playing a Templar 2H/Bow Physical Damage DPS because I was a bit concerned about latency from Australia to East Coast USA. But from the last Beta this didn't seem to be a problem.

So I am considering a Templar tank type build, has anyone played one at the higher levels? How well did it go?

Looking at the skills, the Templar doesn't have any significant damage mitigation skills so it would be all about increasing the heals you get, blocking, and 1H+Shield.

Any advice or thoughts?

first thing you'll need to do when you look at a Templar tank is how its not like a normal full out armor and so buff I don't take dmg when they hit me style..

Templars use a lot of interrupts, blind, stuns, dmg lowered....  even if you don't use the healing line there are some very strong skill there to keep you safe from attacks...  Templar also has a lot of aoe attacks that is fun to get your ultimates up....  so if you mix some of the skills line with heavy armor skill, sword and board you can easily tank

One of the problems I htink a lot of the PTS types are running into with templars is the lack of skills to actively generate magicka. Without the damage mit that DKS get, I know my templar depended a lot more on his self heals, which was tough to keep up with the lack of magicka. In a good group with a spot on dedicated healer you will be fine, but anything outside of that, like just running around solo, can be a little harder with them than other classes. The devs are looking at the problem, so it will probably be addressed at some point, but just something to be aware of
