Sgeul Rúin Dé Foglhadha

My mother is known only by the name Foglhadha. It was not always so. It has been nearly 20 years since she banished her first name. She was once known as Alexis Foglhadha, wife of the lurikeen ranger Ethan Foglhadha. Ethan was well known among the realm as a loving father and husband and a strong follower of the ways of Anu. Together they had 2 children, Alaois my older brother and myself Banning. We lived in a small cottage just outside Howth. My father would spend many moons in the wilderness hunting food for his family and providing Hibernian Council with news from keeps around the realm.
It was an unfortunate day when my father stumbled upon a small Midgard tribe. He attempted to report back to the Council but was cut off by a group of dwarven axe men. They captured him, then tortured him, and finally sent his head home as message to all who oppose the Midgards.
Alexis received word of her husband's death and was devastated. Her eyes were glazed over as rage overcame her. She packed her bags and asked my older brother Alaois to watch over me while she was away. She tracked the Midgard tribe across half the land killing them one by one. She used a short recurve bow Ethan once gave to her and taught her to use, and a stiletto that Ethan frequently carried on his travels. She would either take them out at a distance as they wandered about or she would sneak into their camp slicing their throats as the slept. After each kill she cut out their kneecaps, turning them into arrowheads in which she used to kill the rest of the tribe.
A rumor began to spread among the other settler tribes, about a "Nightwalker" who comes in the night and kills all who touch Hibernian soil. How ironic that is being our last name Foglhadha means Nightwalker in the ancient language.
It was almost 4 seasons before she returned. In this time away she decided to never allow another person to speak her first name, as she wanted Ethan to be the last person to speak it. She adopted his surname as her own and wore it as a badge of love and honor. She has vowed to kill every last one of the Midgards and uphold my father's wishes. She proclaimed her undying devotion to the Goddess Anu and sought out her council. That is when she traveled to Carragh dé Earsadh and met a fellow named Bondon.
