GW2 Guild Fundraiser

Thursday, March 26th I will be hosting a special event to raise funds for our Guild Wars 2 guilds & all proceeds - this is in game gold only - from this event will go to benefit Na Rall, Na Anu & Na Morrigan.

For this event we are going to re-do the achievements and trait unlocks in the Straights of Devastation, Malchor's Leap and Cursed Shore. We will also be farming nodes and killing as many champions as we can find along the way. There will be a few Jump Puzzles and chests to be found.

I am requesting that some part of the total of currency and loot (converted gold/silver) for this event be donated directly to Foghladha.2506 - so you can get credit for your generosity.

If you are not able to make this event and would still like to participate, you can donate currency or buy guild influence from one of the Guild Promoters at the following locations:

Nafni (Trader's Forum - Lion's Arch)
Wudd (Fort Marriner - Lion's Arch)
Zarx (Interdisciplinary Accessium - Rata Sum)
Guild Promoter (NPC) (Upper Commons - The Grove)
Nolan (Dwayna High Road - Divinity's Reach)
Fenja (Might and Main - Hoelbrak)
Pana (Imperator's Core - Black Citadel)

If you do buy One of the Letters of Thanks from the venders, please make sure that you represent GSCH before you consume them to give the guild influence...

Aoibheann's Assault

This event is on for tomorrow, Friday March 6th. Please bear with me as I get used to my new surroundings, I have everything set up, but I may need to tweak a few things as we go along.

Thanks to Leslie, Necro and Wind for stepping up and filling in for my events while I was gone, I really appreciate knowing that I have some good people at my back.

I have also updated the description for the Achievement Hunters on Saturday, sorry that it took so long for me to finish that.

Hope to see you in game,
Aoibheann Sidhe

Adventures in moving

Greetings my wonderful guild mates,

I can't tell you how much you all have been missed this LONG weekend as I packed out of Phoenix to move across the country to Chattanooga.

The good news is that I finally made it to my destination this afternoon, and the weather held up remarkably well for the drive on the Northern route that I took, however once I got here my luck changed.

I have had some issues today about storage and where to park my truck with the trailer until I can figure out the storage part. I am hoping to get these things resolved tomorrow. And I am keeping my fingers crossed that we don't get the forecasted rain, sleet and SNOW so I can get semi unpacked.

Luckily I do have my laptop at the ready, so if I am able to make it for my event tomorrow, Tuesday: March 3rd, I won't be as high tech as my usual.

With any luck and some minor unpacking, I should be able to have my command center up and running for the WvW assault event on Friday.

The achievement hunter event is still on this weekend for Saturday 3/7, but I haven't had a chance to update the information for that yet...

2/21 - Dive Master for Aoibheann's Achievement Hunters

At long last, this weekend - Saturday 2/21, we are going to do the Dive Master Achievement & Title.

There are 38 diving goggles spread throughout the world for this achievement (yes, I know that there are more goggles than 38, but they won't count for this event). While we all seem to have some of these done already, there is no way to track which ones, so we will be starting from the beginning and working our way through to the very end.

This scavenger hunt will take us through most, if not all of the maps, and while We will wait for you to run to a location, it would be best for you to have at least one waypoint in each map, see the PLEASE NOTE below.

There are seven Jump Puzzles that are included with the achievement. Some of these will have Mesmer Portals and some will have to be jumped as a group to complete. We will portal as much as possible along the way for the jumping impaired.
1-Hidden Garden
2-Pig Iron Quarry
3-Chaos Crystal Caverns
4-Buried Archives
5-Shattered Ice Ruins
6-The Vizier's Tower
7-Not So Secret (this will be the location of the last & hardest diving goggles that we are doing and I have Mesmers in place to portal us up, and up again if you don't make it the first time or two down)...

Event / personal updates

There are many changes coming for me in the next few months, first thing is that my surgery/surgeries on my back have had to be postponed.

I am preparing for a move at the end of the month. I had not planned to stay in Arizona, but wasn't expecting to be leaving quite so soon. Ah well, fate has a way of stepping in and I have to be out of here by the end of February.

This won't effect my scheduled events until the week of the move, unless I have a Dr appointments. I do try to schedule these around my events, but it doesn't always work that way.

The last week in February will definitely be disrupted. I am not sure yet about Aoibheann's Assault on Tuesday 2/24, I am still planning to run it, but that might have to change.

Unfortunately I will be cancelling Aoibheann's Assault on Friday 2/27, as well as Aoibheann's Achievements on Saturday 2/28. I will try to be back for Aoibheann's Assault on Tuesday, but will let you know if I have to miss that event.

After I get settled in I will be going ahead with Orthopedics to get my back fixed up.

Getting ready for surgery

My apologies for cancelling my WvW event with such short notice today.

I received a last minute call from the VA this morning to tell me that they had an opening (someone else cancelled an appointment) for me to have an Electromyogram and a Nerve Conduction Study for late this morning.

The results are still unknown to me, but the after effects are rather nasty at the moment. You probably won't see a lot of me in game for the next day or two as I recover from my tests as it is difficult for me to sit in front of the computer for more than 10 - 15 mins at a time.

I still don't have a surgery date, but we are getting closer with each test.

Thank you for your patience and I hope to see you soon.

New weekly Explorer & JP Achievements

Come join me for new adventures in Tyria!

Since GW2 no longer has the monthly achievements, I have discontinued the monthly Puzzle Jumper event. Instead I am going to offer weekly Explorer Achievements as well as Jumping Puzzles that are NOT Mesmer taxi friendly (don't worry, we will still port the jumping impaired where ever possible.

I will post each week which achievements we will be doing during the event so you can check to see which ones you need - they are worth 10 points each. I will attempt to do two at a time when ever possible - but the time will be restricted to 90 minutes to a 2 hour run per event so as not to interfere with other scheduled events.

We are going to start off with two of the easiest Explorer Achievements and progress through to eventually finish up all the diving goggles for the elusive Dive Master Achievement.

PLEASE NOTE - I will be running tagged up for each event with either my main Mesmer: Aoibheann Sidhe - OR - my alternate Mesmer: Whisper Geillis...

Warming Grawnk's Heart

We are down to the last ten days of the Wintersday festivities in Divinity's Reach. So if you have not already started on the Warming Grawnk's Heart scavenger hunt, please let me know and I will be happy to get you going with Grawnk in your home instance.

I posted a pretty thorough how to for the event, however you can also look it up for yourself here: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Warming_Grawnk's_Heart

I am doing two more full Puzzle Jumper runs to find the six Ornaments on Sundays, Jan 4th and Jan 11th, from 12 - 2 pm PST.

If you finish feeding Grawnk late and you can catch me out of WvW, I will help you with a speed run for the ornaments rather than the full run.

Happy Holidays!

Wake up WvW

For all of you that follow my tag in the wee hours of the morning, please understand that in order for me to claim my "Wake up WvW" event on the family site, I must have at least 3 Gaiscioch following me. Since I run very early in the morning US time, sometimes there is only me out there with some PUGs, sometimes one or two other Gaiscioch are with me, but until there are 4 of us, I cannot claim what we do during the event. As soon as I do get 4 of us, I start claiming what we take or defend for the event and remind people to claim it on this site. However, in that case, the only things that will show up are the things that I had enough Gaiscioch with me at the time to claim.

Thank you for your participation, your support, your commitment and your understanding. See you out on the Borderlands!

    Mission: Karka Extermination Completed
Thank you all for coming out to join in the Lion's Arch Master Map completion event tonight and killing all those pesky karka that invaded the city. I think we managed to get Princess for everyone who stayed for the whole event. For those of you who had to leave early, I will do a make up event in the coming weeks, if you are only missing a couple of the karka kills, send me a whisper in game and I will do my best to get you through it...

Another good day of fighting on the Borderlands. Our main focus was on Devona's Rest, but we also had some nice fights on Ferguson's Crossing as well. MY co-leader, Wind, took her group as needed to clear out our home map and to take supply camps for us in DR & FC...

    Dive Master Achievement walk through
Here are the locations of all 38 Diving goggles for the Dive Master Achievement. Hold down the L Control button down to see the yellow marker "Diving Goggles" floating above their location. Equip them and jump off into the water, you must make it down without dying for the achievement...

    Dive Masters
Thank you all for joining me for the Four hours plus that we ran for this event. Don't worry if you weren't able to stay for the whole thing as I will be doing make up events in a couple of weeks. I will probably try to do them in two parts rather than run it all together like I did for this one...

    Pre-reset fight in WvW
Thanks to Leslie of the Stars, who was my co-leader for this event, the GSCH family, as well as our PUGs that came out and fought with us, all in all we had a great day of fighting in the borderlands. The main focus was PPT, which we accomplished by hitting and holding their keeps and towers, the camps were almost an afterthought for this event, but good for points just the same...

Achievements and Traits Galore, oh my....
Thank you all for joining in on the fun times in PvE, I feel like we got a LOT done in the three hours that we ran around. I really appreciate everyone's patience as we waited for our new members to reach us in each of the maps. VERY big HUGS to Jay, Wind and Necro for jumping Goemm's Lab JP for me when I lost my port...

    Great Job
Thank you for leading this event, you did a wonderful job
  • Battle Recap:
    Wonderful day for WvW
For Aoibheann's Assault, the main group had some spectacular fights and the havoc group created chaos and kept our borders clear. A great big thank you to both Leslie & Wind for being my co-leaders for today's event, you both helped us immensely leading the havoc groups!!! Good friends and good times, it is always my pleasure to have such a wonderful family to run around and fight with in WvW...

A Wild Wind swept over the Borderlands
Another of our commander-in-training, Wind came out and joined my event in WvW this afternoon. When asked, she tagged up and successfully led her group to help with our fights across the borderlands and she did a spectacular job of it! Her group started out with taking supply camps, then they got us superior bloodlust, then they went on to clean up Sanctum of Rall whenever needed and even took some towers, all the while providing the main group with support as needed...
  • Battle Recap:
    Nice turn out
Thank you all for joining me in the quest for achievement points as well as the bonus items for the making of Mawdrey. I will make sure we have more of that in the future. I think next week (2/14) I am going to post achievements that are also trait unlocks...

Thank you all for helping train up Necro in commanding in wvw. He was my co-leader for my event today. I must tell you that I am always so proud of how well we all pull together to help people, be it in WvW, PvE or PvP, and whether they belong to our guild or not...

    Swift achievements and bonus events
Thank you all for joining me for another successful achievement run, it was short but sweet. It is always such a treat to find little adventures to do along the way or afterwards. Remember I take requests for mini dungeons and jump puzzles. Our next run on 2/7 will be more daring as we invade Fireheart Rise and Frostgorge Sound for two achievements and two Jump Puzzles, with bonuses for making the backpiece: Mawdrey...

    Short Asault
This event was not as long as what we usually run (2 1/2 hrs rather than 4 or 5 hrs), but I just couldn't sit still any longer. Thank you all for your patience with me this week, the side effects from the EMG are starting to wear off, so it will get easier...
  • Battle Recap:
A very good start to the new event
Well tearing down the Separatist propaganda posters started off the 'Help the people of Ebonhawke' event. After killing the separatists we got to kill the Champion leader before continuing on to complete the Cleaning up the Neighborhood achievenent. Luckily they didn't mind us reading all the history books that they had hidden throughout the town for the Speedy Reader achievement...
  • Battle Recap:
    A slow start
With the new content in the game today we didn't have the usual number of players out with us in WvW. So we started out a little slower, taking camps, building golems and bouncing around on all of the maps. Our rallians were trying to help, but they foiled some of our objectives by letting the enemy know where we were on the map...
  • Battle Recap:
    Last call for ornaments
Thank you all for joining me again today for the last official Scavenger Hunt. I have added 5 new Jump Puzzles to this event, plus we got to kill a Champ at the end of our run just before we jumped Tribulation Caverns as a group. Thanks for the extra ports and to Jay for tagging up at the end to lead the group into the port spot for the Coddler's Cove JP...

    PPT
Sorrow's Furnace finally woke up today and had a large PPT when I logged in, so we went straight for the high points. First hitting all the keeps, then taking the towers, and only camps when we were bored or occasionally out of supply. Since it was reset night, we didn't do any upgrades - but don't get used to that...
  • Battle Recap:
    Sorry I was late
A great BIG thank you to Marcovius for stepping up, tagging up and leading the charge until I was able to return. We had another great fight night. Kaineng had taken over our borderland and way pointed our keeps, so we took the fight back to their borderland and then cleaned them off our lands...

    Huzzah!
It was a great week all wrapped up in a big GREEN bow. Thank you for joining me on the battle field again today as we held strong to our PPT lead and fought hard against Kn & SF right till the very end. I know we have all put some very long hours into that well deserved score & I hope to see you all out there again this week for more of the same...

    Another amazing night in WvW
Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to fighting on the borderlands, we managed to turn the whole world green again this morning and it was a beautiful site. PPT!!!
Thank you all for staying up all night with me and celebrating the New Year on the Borderlands. Wow, it was good to see the 695 PPT again & again - I know that several of us took screen shots to post. Jumping the Puzzles
After the scheduled event of Warming Grawnk's Heart, a few brave (crazy) souls stayed with me as we continued on to - yes - more Jump Puzzles. This time it was a by request run and we actually JUMPED the puzzles. It was so much fun that I will try to do it again next week...
  • Battle Recap:
    Ornaments and Emypeal Fragments
Thank you all for joining me again today for more Jump Puzzles galore. I think we have a good work around for the very buggy Buried Archives JP chest. While not a Jump Puzzle, the Hope Falls chest does drop the elusive Golden Ball Ornament. I will be adding a few more Jump Puzzles to the mix next month and for those of you that care to stick around next time, this afternoon we did several more jump puzzles by request of the group...

    WvW Assault
This was truly a perfect day for me to come back out for WvW. I would like to thank you all for joining me in the fights. I am not sure that Kaineng or Sorrow's Furnace had as good of a time as we did or appreciated our great big Sanctum of Rall HUGS that we gave them all over the maps today...

    Scavenger Hunt / Puzzled Jumpers
Thank you all for joining me today, if you still haven't started the Warming Grawnk's Heart, please send me a whisper and I will try to help you get through it - it takes 3 days to complete and You won't be able to get the ornaments until that part is finished...

    WvW on reset day
For those of you that stayed with me for the four hours that I was tagged up, please note: my event is split into two parts and they are under the same name. I have to do this at the three hour mark so I don't break the system - again. We had a strong showing on the borderlands this afternoon and I want to thank you all for joining me to fight...
  • Battle Recap:
    Way to Go!!!
We started out on the offensive and gave Kaineng a spanking on the Borderlands this afternoon - can you say GOLEM RUSH? I think we had 9 Omegas charging around and I hope that someone got screen shots to post. We almost had all of KN turned Green and we successfully held (and defended) 9 keeps, including all 3 on Kaineng! Thanks to Jordyee for tagging up and leading the support assault group on our home bl as well as on Sorrow's Furnace bl...

    Assault on WvW
Thank you all for the great support out in WvW for todays event. We stayed tight and focused as we slowly but surely took each map - sorry we didn't manage to get Kaineng's Garrison. Thank you for your patience as we bounced around to the different borderlands, I don't like too be predictable out there...

    Great time tonight!
Thank you all for coming out and making it such a productive night. We stopped FC from owning everything and successfully pushed them off our border and then took over SF's map as well as parts of FC.

    Golems Galore
I just popped in to refresh the golems we built this morning and found that we needed another clean up from an Anvil Rock invasion. Grabbed a golem and headed out and was quickly joined by family. It is always good to see GSCH take the field of battle, thank you all for the good times this morning!

    Claiming my wvw events
For all of you that follow my tag in the wee hours of the morning, please understand that in order for me to claim my "Wake up WvW" event I must have at least 3 Gaiscioch following me. Since I run very early in the morning US time, sometimes there is only me out there with some PUGs, sometimes one or two other Gaiscioch are with me, but until there are 4 of us, I cannot claim what we do during the event...

    my apologies
The internet in my area is down & Cox Communications can't tell me when it will be back up. I tried running the game & TS with the hotspot on my phone, but that didn't work either. I will keep trying to get into game or if all else fails I can have a make up event tomorrow morning.
