Earning more plat?

Good morning!

So, I was reading Denji's GW2 post about how he gets temp banned for earning too much gold. Let's just say I DON'T have that problem!! So I was wondering, does anyone have any shareable tips for earning more plat? What I do now is sell all my greys to vendors, sell everything else on the AH (using the standard deviation pricing on BananAH). I also sell extra mats from mining and foraging. But, I don't make that much and now am *almost* at the 600-plat mark, LOL.

If anyone has tips/tricks it would be great to hear them!

Thanks,

Ranarri

Crifting used to be an outstanding way of earning plat. When I started playing RIFT, back when it first came out, I donated all my mats to the guild. I didn't really need them since I focused on Mining, Foraging and Butchering.... And my main reason for crifting was the fun of socializing with my guildmate friends... :D BTW, crifting is a great way to make friends in the guild :D Then I gradually began selling two items on the AH, Eternal Planar dust and some essence or catalist? The icon for it was a yellow swirly thing. Anyway, the sale of those two items kept me in all the plat I needed. I've haven't been crifting much lately, but, if crifting has moved to the new Storm Legion areas, like Ashora and The Steppes.... and the newer Storm Legion Mats are obtainable, then I imagine Crifting could still be a great source of both donations for the guild and personal Plat income, as well as making new friends in guild. :D

Crifting is a great way to make plat and friends within the Family. We crift in Morban, seems flat enough most of the time =cough= and the tears are high enough to get the major catalysts from. I have been running classic experts for ah-cheese-ments lately and in one pull of about 10 of them since they go fast when you are 60, I got nearly 90 plat from selling the boss drops which I greeded for with the rest. Other ways I found plat come into my account is just by questing and dailies. I'd skin and harvest everything and when skins were going for about their cost on the AH, I'd sell whole stacks to vendor, that was soulbind and before 99 in stacks. Got a plat each nearly. the new mats, though, sell very well for the time being. Hope that helps.

If you have a profession that makes finished products, like apothecary or runecrafter, for example, the finished products almost always sell for more than the raw materials on the AH. Runecrafter also has a lot of potential to make money, as you can buy low priced greens on the AH and runebreak them into materials that'll sell for more than the greens. Artifacts are also just about pure profit on the AH as well- even if you sell one for only 1g, you're making a very large (100%, I think?) profit on selling them rather than vendoring them. Most of the plat I have in Rift I made selling artifacts.

If you have a high butchering =) I'd suggest hitting the lake in the northwest of Ashora and killing the beasts around the interior of it. The truehide, choice cuts, and shanks alone can keep you at a nice profit on AH.

Right now actually, all gatherings are pretty solid cash. Generally the mid tier mats, karthite, elm, selm for about a plat a piece.
