The idea of the Amazing race is to bring fun and excitement to Telara again the Gaiscioch way. One Saturday, I'd like to host a race where a high level (45+) escorts a low level ( -10) from Sanctum to Wyrmbane spire in shimmersand. It's not just a race however. Just like the tv show The Amazing Race, the pair has to complete certain tasks. They can not continue with the race till they accomplish each task. Prizes will be given out at the end of the race to the pair.
What will be needed is volunteers to be task givers, guides, and ultimately referees/umpires just to make sure no one is cheating.
Tasks will be simple as just killing certain mobs to get certain grey items and giving these to the task masters. The task masters will be in charge of each checkpoint and giving each pair the task and recording if they were finished or not. Remember they can not advance to the next checkpoint till they finish their task. While the tasks are simple they do progress in difficulty with each zone. All the while the higher level person must look out for and help the lower level person.
(gray items that are looted and turned into the task master will be sold at the end of the event for cash prizes. other prizes can be player made or artifacts that are donated by people. which means we will need donations for this event. With Dimensions coming out we could offer like housing stuff or just random armor or whatever. I plan on making some spirit weave bags for the winning lowbie)
