I go points in Dom almost exclusively for Arresting Presence, arguably one of the best AOE silences/interrupts in the game at the moment. It consumes Charge while active, is a self-centered silence, pulses an AoE interrupt every second, and has no cooldown.

The thing to remember about Archon is that your primary reason for existing is buffing the raid. Debuffing enemies is secondary; damage only comes in third.

That said, a lot of your damaging spells buff the raid, so it's pretty important that you use them. You also have to stay alive; I've said it before, a dead raid member is a paperweight.

While I have a bunch of macros to make my life easier and to keep voice clear, there's only one that you really need.

#show Surging Flare
suppressmacrofailures
cast Surging Flare
cast Volcanic Bomb
cast Earthen Barrage
cast Leeching Flames
cast Pillaging Stone
cast Searing Vitality

In the "make my life easier and keep voice clear" category, we have a few others.

#show Flaring Power
cast [notactive] Flaring Power
yell Flaring Power! Burn 'em!

#show Mental Flare
suppressmacrofailures
cast @mouseoverui Mental Flare

#show Power Drain
cast [notactive] Power Drain
yell Yoink! >>Power Drain Active<<

#show Arresting Presence
cast [notactive] Arresting Presence
yell Be silent! >>Arresting Presence up!<<

#show Reflective Command
suppressmacrofailures
cast Reflective Command
yell REFLECT!

You'll notice the [notactive] modifier in most of them; they're charge consumers, and you don't want a twitchy finger toggling them, Flaring Power especially, since it applies a 5min debuff where affected members can't benefit from it again. Yes, it has a 2min CD; that doesn't make it useful.

Your required self-buffs are five stacks of Searing Vitality; five of Pillaging Stone; Crumbling Resistance; Ashen Defense; and Lingering Dust. At the start of every pull, make sure those are up and make sure your auras are up.

On boss fights, use Waning Power when it's on cooldown. If it's a short (under 5-min) boss fight, get Flaring Power out as soon as you can, and then again as soon as the debuff from it falls off (ie five minutes later). If it's not, save it for when the boss is at ~15-20% life remaining.

I used this last night in HK while playing Septa. There was an increase in DPS with the changes, the added skills gave me something to do besides spam the buff rotation. Thanks for the info Hos.
