FYI Regarding old event currencies

Please read the Rift forum post carefully before disposing of your old currency.

Otherworldly Sourcestones, Ancient Golden Dragon Egg Shell, and Rune King's Seals will be obsolete with 1.9.

Dragon Tears, and Magma Opals will be obsolete with next update after 1.9.

Unique Snowflakes, Glass Beads, and Carnival Prize Tickets will always remain useful, and will have their descriptions changed to let you know they are and "annual" currency.

There are people with enough of that stuff laying around to actually buy stuff? On a related note, I suppose I should get a move on and finish hatching my ashstrider then...

Think everything on the list going obsolete is nearly depleted now on my characters. Been gathering them all up on Ladasach to see what I do have. I know I wasn't trying hard to get anything. HA! Some how I do have a couple thousand glass beads though. Maybe around 750 snowflakes. At least those are going in the annual lot.

I spent 90 min. last night consolidating and spending those darn things. Sigh, bag management isn't as fun as it sounds...and it doesn't sound very fun to start with. Yours truly, Dame Bes, the OCD Hoarder

With 1.9 next week, you might want to cleanup your old currencies.

I'm going to toss the remaining old currencies as I only have a few. I have some snowflakes and glass beads floating about. During the last event with the currency event I exchanged for some old currency and got what I needed. Even planned out my lvl 30 cleric and got her the good lvl 40 stuff from the vendors. I've got the turtle and raptor, all the companion pets...I have a zoo! LOL Somehow when this last event ended my 3 characters that I play have both the new spider and horse mount. Not quite sure how that happened since I really didn't do much for the event, but I'm a happy camper. I have a slew of mounts now and on Kittara I have a turtle for every occassion. :/ Reminds me of the car commercial where were being checked by carfax or w/e it is and the one has a "big rear-end." So I stick to horses or my croc and not to turtles.

I'm just glad the carnival is going to be annual tbh, I missed the first few phases of that and never got to try the carnival games due to taking some time away from rift.
