The Rise of the Raven - RIFT Conquest Event Thursday @ 6PM - PTS Download Instructions - Be Prepared, Don't Procrastinate!

The sun dawns on the battlefield as the Goddess Morrígan surveys the battle to come. The War Raven Morrígan leads our troops to battle this day. Over the years the Gaiscioch have defended the people from all kinds of evil, and today it must stand against those who seek to use their powers against mankind.

We have been ascended by the Gods of Telara, and by the Future walkers at Telara's final days. We were all placed here in this moment in time. Guardian's and Defiant's, Might and Intellect, Brothers and Sisters... Today we join together to stop the Dominion and the Oathsworn.

The Dominion, represented by the Ram fight to conquer all of Telara. They do not seek to restore peace to Telara they seek to rule it with the Ascended. They seek to enslave all of Telara through use of their gifts.

The Oathsworn, seek to protect Telara from destruction by using their Ascended Powers. They choose to wait for battle to come to them, to defend against these invasions. They stand idly by and let the forces from beyond the RIFT invade out homelands.

That is why we, the Raven, the Nightfall, under the Goddess Morrígan watchful eye must endure the days to come. We are the only of the 3 factions that choose to take the fight to them! We invade their realm, punish them for coming into ours. We stand and fight any who stand against us. We don't wait for them to destroy our world, we engage them in open combat on our terms. We conduct the battle, we fight for Telara but we do so by stopping them from ever coming.

We are Immortal Ascended given divine will or advanced technology, we should not waste these abilities waiting for things to happen. We should be the ones making things happen. Today we stand on the dawn of battle ready to fight any that oppose. The Dragon Cults, the Oathsworn, The Dominion, or any threat that thinks of standing on the shores of Telara shall answer to our blades. Let weaker men play politics and stand by while their home is ravaged, we are the Gaiscioch and fight along side the Morrigan, the War Raven. We shall sweeps death and justice to our foes, and brings forth new life to Telara.

I ask you stand with me, the Gaiscioch, the Tuatha, and the champions of Faeblight, as we fight the Lion and the Ram and bring hope to the people of Telara by ridding these invaders once and for all.

Join us Thursday Night on the PTS Server for a sneak peak at an all new Gaiscioch Faeblight Community Event as we wage war against those that oppose our server. Join the Gaiscioch on the Nightfall / Raven faction and lay waste to any that stand against us.

Getting Started with the PTS Server

Open /Program Files/

Copy (cntr+c) / Paste (cntr+v) Your "RIFT Game" Folder

This will create a "RIFT Game Copy" Folder, Rename to "RIFT Game PTS"

Download The Test Patcher to "/Program Files/RIFT Game PTS/"

Run the Patcher, Install into: "/Program Files/RIFT Game PTS/"

The Patcher will then open the RIFT Patcher which will patch/file check all the files in the RIFT Game PTS folder. At about 25% you'll have a play button to be able to log into game. It will verify the entire 6GB of files but it should work a lot faster than downloading the entire game raw.

Now You will want to log into the ORIGINAL RIFT, /Program Files/RIFT Game/ (Live Server) and select a couple of your characters and click "Transfer" then "Copy to PTS". This will copy your existing characters to the PTS Server. Then Switch to the /Program Files/RIFT Game PTS/ copy of the game and login as you would the live server. You should see your transfered characters. Login and use Guild Finder to find Gaiscioch and ask for an invite. I'll try getting you all in over this week.

BTW you get a Title for participating in Thursday's Trion Sanctioned event which just happens to be at the same time :)

Well despite my supreme suckiness in PvP, I'll come along. Not sure which char I'm going be on as I did my usual oddball 'let's make alts' thing even on the PTS. Not even sure I've got a recognizable Gaiscioch name there... *runs to see* Oh dear I hope this will be on the PvE shard because I have no toons on the PvP shard at all and there's no way I'm copying a toon over as none of them are decently geared.

I have copied Naay and Oum and one of my unguilded alts (Lisbethe) from another server to the PTS. Hope I messaged correctly for guild invites. Hmm, Lisbethe is defiant but the guild search doesn't find our family on D-side.

When you copy to PTS it clones your character. You don't have to transfer a character off Faeblight. It's Duplicates it. I have 6 Foghladha Clones on PTS :)

Be sure to /join Tuatha as well on test server

So whats the title we can get this week? (I'm setting up my PTS client now)

They are still taking suggestions for the title in a contest you can find on the PTS Server Forum

That's 6pm pacific time, I take it? I just wonder if I have to have an active subscription to take part in this. Money is super tight, so had to cancel mine for an unknown amount of time.

I believe you will need a paid account to participate.

I can not stress enough to have this downloaded and have a level 50 character transferred over to the test server before the event. This will take you 1+ hours to get setup. If we enjoy it I might repeat this event on the test server so we can be ready for launch.

I only have level 50 on D side. Hope to meet up with everyone as well.

Thats fine, we will have guilds on both side. Use Guild Finder to request an invite. We'll grab ya. Both sides can join as Raven and play together.

I am trying to copy my 50 over but apparently can't.... Any idea when that's gonna be available again? I have the PTS set up and everything at least.

I have to admit that I am a little disappointed that the 3 faction system is PvP only. Either way, I am copying files over, now.

OK, got Lil over to Alpha PTS.... Omega is locked still? And searching for Gaiscioch yields no results D-side at the moment. I'll get on and join when that's ready to roll.

We're only on the alpha server, ignore omega, thats the full pvp server. As a note you will need to be level 50 to participate in conquest.

annnnd now both shards are locked at 12:20 pm just as I got my pvp kit blah

They will go up and down a lot before the event. Be patient and keep trying.

Also if you create a level 1 character you can get autoleveled to Rank 50 PR 50 with full PvP Gear. Just find fluffy.

My connection is horrid tonight so by the time I was on the test was over. I look forward to the next test though. And hope to be on time!

It was short, but sweet and ended with Fog making a shopping trip to Meridian.

Surprisingly Guardians cant buy defiant gear. Who knew :D

So he did figure out he could by Guardian gear in Meridian from Fluffy. I stood out of the way and watched the "shopping" trip. Was quite humorous.

What was it like? I was away on a work trip. Can it compare to WvWvW from the GW2 Open beta weekend? or is it just another "too little too late" weak attempt by Trion?

Bumping for 2nd Beta Event. Not 100% sure yet but we are coordinating with Trion to give the conquest another run. I could use everyone that can be there. Both factions fight as 1.

Elth, It's much funner than warfronts and it's currently in a work in progress state. Theres something for everyone out there even crafters who hate pvp have a place. It's by far the best idea Trion has to date and will make it possible for both sides of the family to PvP Together. That said, theres no doors, no keeps to take, just a all out brawl for who controls the most. Think 3 way domination map on Unreal Tournament over a map the size of stillmoor and about 40 objectives.

Due to personal reasons I don't PVP, however I'm interrested in supporting the PVP'ers. However I'm unclear on how PVE's support the PVP in the new event. Can you explain how this is done? I see in your above post Fog that you say that there is a place for crafters. How does this work? Kittara

That kit is why were going out on thurs. I don't entirely know yet. From what I can tell pvpers collect orbs and bring them back to base. Crafters can take those items and turn them into team wide buffs. How it all works is something I want to figure out on Thursday.

I made a level 1 D mage on there, talked to fluffy and got to Meridian. I don't see where to auto level to 50 and get the pvp gear though.

There should be a quest to turn in right in front of you when you port to meridian.

Yea I was asking where the auto level guys was in general chat and people were saying he won't be at the portal until about an hour before the test starts. I will check again tonight. Astrilsathril dinged 50 during my lunch break today, so I can just copy her over if I need to.
