Hi gals and guys,

It seems like forever ago that we started this raid group. More than 4 months ago, which is an eternity in MMO time, we came together for the first time. Since then, we've had alot of fun and accomplished alot in the process. Now I'm back from my extended vacation and it's time for us to revisit our goals and priorities for this raid group.

We have all the Tier 1 raid dungeons on farm and they presently give the more veteran members very little in terms of gear upgrades. We also have many new promising members who could benefit from the gear and/or raiding experience. Also, we need something to transition newer members who are fresh from T2 dungeons to Hammerknell fortress. With this in mind, I am establishing some new changes to our raiding schedule and implementing an additional raid roster lineup.

From this point forward, we will have a 'Raid Tier 2' group and a 'Raid Tier 1' group. If there are openings in the Tier 2 group, those members of the Tier 1 group will be the first to be asked to fill those slots. There will still be a reserve list for those who cannot commit themselves to a regular raiding schedule also.

The Tier 2 raid group will be the ones who will be doing Hammerknell Fortress. If you are interested in this group then you need to have the required Focus/Hit/Toughness and also a significant amount of your gear being raid Tier 1 quality. We will be doing Hammerknell Fortress on Wed, Fri, and Sun which are the normal raiding days for us. Also for the next couple of weeks, we'll be doing River of Souls as a means to get that last extra piece of gear and to shake off the rust from some of us who haven't raided in a while. In the future, River of Souls will not be included in the Wed, Fri, Sun rotation.

The Tier 1 raid group will be for those who are either new to raiding or are not quite ready for Hammerknell Fortress. You still need the necessary Focus/Hit/Toughness for Tier 1 raiding to participate in this group. Initially we will be doing Greenscale's Blight on Saturday 6:00 pm server. Time permitting we will also be doing River of Souls. In addition, we will add a second raid night to be determined at this time. This will be for GSB/ROS completion or doing the 10 man Tier 1 raid dungeons. To sign up for this list, I need to know that you will be on time on the raid days. Also, you may be called upon to fill in on the Tier 2 raid days of Wed, Fri, and Sun. While, you are not required to be available for those days, it does greatly help in regards to eventually being promoted to that group.

Loot:

For those of you who are unfamiliar with our loot rules, I highly recommend you visit the old thread which I will link now:

Going forward, we will continue to use loot modifiers for Tier 2 dungeons. That modifier will be brand new from this day on. It will NOT be the same as the loot modifier in Tier 1 dungeons. Only gear in Tier 2 dungeons will be affected by this modifier. And you only get attendance points for attending Tier 2 dungeons. There will be a separate loot modifier for weapons only in the Tier 1 dungeons. These modifiers are the ones currently in place. Once again, these are only used for weapons and not equipment gear. Non weapon gear will be simply rolled upon with the caveat that you can only win one item per run unless everyone else passes on the item.

If you are interested in coming with us to either raid group, please post your character's name, class, roles available, and relevant stat info such as Hit/Focus/Toughness and Spellpower/Spell Crit/Attack Power/Physical Crit/Block/AC/FavoriteIceCreamFlavor/UnusualTattoos/etc.

I will be populating both lists on the top of this thread and updating it regularly with loot modifiers etc. I will also have the schedule for the raid nights there. Please be sure to occasionally check in with this thread to see if there are changes or new developments.

I'd also like to sign up, Kaldaan the Warrior t3 Raid-Ready DPS (314 Hit) t1 raid Tank (165 Toughness) I'm available any time.

Kadiskas is my char name and I bring to this lovely table of raiding a warrior tank and dps. My hit in my dps spec is 226, attack power is 508 and Physical crit is 587. In my tank spec my block is 802 unbuffed Toughness is 196 and my armor is 10544. And my fav ice cream is cotton candy. :-P I am usually available anytime for these raids every other week due to Ainet and I's children. We are usually able to log in roughly about 6 server time, if not a little bit after. This wk we have our children and next week we don't. If u have any questions about our what week we have our kids just wsp either Ainet or myself and we will tell u. @ Bentmer - you have clashed your GSB with our long-running DH/GP which we can ONLY run on Saturdays at 5pm. I understand clashes will happen, which is cool BUT you have listed our entire 10 man raid group as being in your raid (oops)!!! Those I have spoken to so far seem unaware of this and are attending ours. You also have Pnub and I listed as reserves - please take us off the T1 reserves as we cant attend as we will be raid leading 10 mans at the same time :P (If only I could work out how to be in 2 raids at once!) I notice in one part of the post it says the T1 group will raid Thursdays at 6.30, but then another part it says Sat at 6pm (the time that concerns me!). Could you please clarify which it is? Other than nearly giving me a heart attack, the new system looks awesome, I look forward to smashing through HK with everyone :)

Sat 6PM is a raid I can usually always meet (I think I fell off your reserves list) as it's Sunday late morning. Current (unbuffed) stats are 1302 SP, 399 SC, 582 WIS, 302 INT. Running 51 Purifier (10 Sent/5 Cab) with the Purifier Greater Essence.

I'd like to sign up for the Tier 1 Raid Group. Velana - Mage Primary Souls: SC / Ele 51 Chloro or Chloro Hybrid Focus: 231 ; SP: 1051 ; SC: 679 (The roster schedule says Sat 6PM but the text says Thu 6:30PM?)

I swear at one point I saw myself listed on the reserve for the T1 Raid Group... ah well. Elsimer is Tier 1 ready for tank or dps roles and getting really close to T2 Raid ready (dps role is near 240 Hit, need to get a good 2hander from greenscale methinks, since I'm currently using one of the new crafted two-handers). Tank specs right now are (going from memory) 230ish Hit (plus the 5% buff that doesn't change Hit but increases it 5%) and 180ish toughness - not quite enough for T2 raids but close enough that I ended up passing on most of the GSB loot while Mikeydee was leading.

Yeah sorry about all the confusion guys, there are like 4 lists now and they're not very clear who is where and why you're even on which list at the moment lol. Ordinarily, I'd like to have spoken with each person and invite them personally to each group. But since I've been gone for 3 weeks, I haven't had a lot of time to touch base with alot of people on these lists. So they are subject to change quite a bit. The lists are basically copy and pastes from my previous list and a list provided to me by Mikeydee and Pyrefly when I was gone on the people who participated with them. I have only spoken to a few people directly about their availability so far, but I do plan to get to everybody as I get more time available to me. And I just put everyone who has a current loot modifier for T1 raids on the reserve list so I can still keep track of your score somewhere. I don't really expect you to come (altho maybe you might want to attend the 2nd day) but I just wanted to bookkeep the scores somewhere. Lastly, if any of have questions about why you are on a particular list then feel free to send me a mail or talk to me in person. I will be talking to as many people as I can over this next week or so in order to finalize these lists. Thank you for your patience. That being said, if I did any of the following: 1> Put your name on the wrong list 2> Omitted your name altogether 3> Assigned you to a group when you are not actually interested or available 4> Did not assign you to a group that you are interested or available for 5> Made fun of how you dress Then I apologize for that. None of the lists are written in stone as of yet and are subject to change as I get to talk to each of you. So bear with me while I get this all sorted out. Mijjah - You are on the Tier 2 list but on the reserve list for Tier 1 as of right now. It's kinda hard to read so you might have scrolled past the first group of lists for Tier 2. I don't put anyone who is on the Tier 2 list on the Tier 1 list unless they specifically ask to since you're already committing to 3 raid days on the T2 list. But anyone is more than welcome to come and help out. Which brings me to your 2nd point. I had initially intended the T1 night to be on Thursday but had to change to Saturday because most of the people who showed interest had time conflicts with doing it on Thursday or any week day for that matter hahaha. So I had to change it last minute to the new day. There will be a 2nd raid day added in the future for those who have conflicts with Sat and because I doubt we'll clear GSB and RoS in one night initially. I know there are conflicts with other scheduled events but unfortunately my other weekend day is already filled.

We have come up with a solution Bentmer just to let you know! Ill talk to you in vent but basically we have 13 ppl keen to raid in our 10s as they are quick and we do both GP and DH all in one hit in about 3 hours. What I was thinking might be cool is that if all 13 turn up to mine at 5, I can fire the 3 who cant raid over to you and then everyone gets to raid. Yay!!! All 13 of our crew are overgeared for ROS and GSB and would be an asset to any raid. Ill talk to you in vent sometime :)

I would like to sign up for the T1 raid, my hit is just below 300. Draebow Rogue DPS, Bard or split ... which ever you need (Split is a Bard with nearly all Bard buffs, yet considerably more dps). Sabo, Marks, Ranger, Bard, Split

I think I need to clarify a few points here: 1> If you asked to be put on a certain roster, then you are committing to being there on it's designated raid nights every week unless you inform me via mail/tell/smoke signals ahead of time of your absence that week. If you can't commit then I'll put you on the reserve list. No big deal, we can still find a spot for you most likely. 2> If you are on the reserve list, then I need you to whisper me that night so I know you're ready and willing to come. I try to invite those who I see, but sometimes I miss a few. It's better to play it safe and whisper me ahead of time. 3> Having the required Hit/Focus/Toughness allows you to have the MINIMUM requirements for a raid, but that does not necessarily mean you are 'ready' for that tier raid dungeon. Ideally, you want to have the majority of your gear be one level lower than whatever raid tier you're trying to do. In other words, T2 5man Gear for T1 Raid Dungeon and T1 Raid Dungeon for T2 Raid Dungeon. However, if you do have the minimum requirements, we still can use you sometimes for some of the support roles that don't a preponderance of gear. Hey Bentmer, I'm currently not sure if I will be able to make it on those 2 days. It will depend on if my instructors will give us labs for my current classes on those days. Oops, On second thought, the raid days will not be changed this week after all. GSB will still be on Saturday and HK will be at it's regular time on Sunday. Mon/Tues will still be used for RoS to gear up for Hammerknell. Sorry for all the date switching. In adddition, I am asking those in the T2 raid group to speak with certain nomiated people within their class in order to: a> share information on specs, rotations, gear, consunambles, etc b> learn new builds to increase flexibility in the raid c> fine tune their rotations in order to maximize their dps More names will be added as I find more people but for now: Rogue DPS - Zoink Rogue Tank - Parak Mage DPS & Archon - Inixia Cleric DPS - Noir Cleric Heal & Tank - Lumina Warrior DPS & Tank - Alondite We still have openings for Rogue Bard and Mage Chloro. My cleric would like to get into raids on my days off which are a bit uncommon. I am available Sunday Monday Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. ( I have Mon - Wed off each week.) I was in a raid group which was great fun but as it ran Thursday each week I had to step down. I come with a very extensive top tier raiding and leading experience from a unnamed mmo. This game is very similar if not almost identical and I have found my experience has translated well to Rift. My Cleric main role is Healing which I believe to be ready for T2 raiding I Inquisitor dps for off set, but my focus would limit me to T1 raids. Healing stats (unbuffed) are as follows: Wisdom: 635 Mana: 5767 Spellpower: 1337 Main healing spec is Warden/Sent hybrid, although I would have no problem changing to any healing spec that the raid/encounter would need. Thanks for signing up guys. If you are interested in a particular raid, then please sign up for the raid on the calendar. GSB in particular, I try to bring people who have not gone before or who have little experience. But keep in mind a few things about invites: 1> I do need you to send me a tell when you see me on before raid time. Unfortunately, there are too many people signed up and on my friends list for me to easily differentiate between those who have or have not signed up. 2> You can't be grouped or afk when invites come. I typically start inviting from 15 mins before start time. Again, the sheer number of people that tell me they're available to raid means that I rapidly invite people without noticing if they actually accepted my invite or not. In the past few weeks, I've tried inviting a number of people who've signed up but they were either in a group or AFK. 3> There will always be a mix between more experienced players and less experienced players. This allows us to complete these raids within 2 hours time and keep things enjoyable for all. 4> I try to invite down the order of who signed up. And as I said before, I try to invite people who haven't been very often. If you don't get an invite for that day, let me know and I'll find a way to squeeze you in on another run. GSB is on Saturdays and RoS is normally on Mondays. Sometimes I can't make one of those days and will need to reschedule. Raiding 5+ days a week gives me very little flexibility unfortunately. For instance, this Saturday, we'll need to finish earlier so many of us can attend Halloween parties and Monday will have no RoS for the same reason. Instead, I will move that to Tuesday time permitting. Again thanks for signing up and hope to see you all there.

Understood Bentmer. I know how much trouble it can be keeping track of who wants to go to what event. I'll have to contact Fog and get my guild's information updated on this site. I can't currently sign up for events on this calendar. It always tells me I have no eligible characters.

I think this is the right topic to reply to sign up for raids. I am Thyth, tier 1 ready Warrior dps 51 riftblade 15 paragon. Working on getting enough hit for t2 pretty close.

I'm interested in raiding. Aimy: rogue dps, 310 hit, all raid gear, one relic, over 2k dps on Plutonus. Typically melee dps but have marksman synergy, too (and 200 toughness tank set but it's not as good as my dps gear). Do not have a full bard atm, nor bard-ish gear. I play with Avalonne most all of the time, and with my son, Drakhor (who's only allowed to play on weekends during school because his parents are mean like that). Avalonne has done the first 4 of HK. Drakhor is all raid-1 gear for dps, still some T2 dungeon gear on his tank.

I would like to be added for GSB run whenever possible any day or time is good

Would like to be added to the list for 20man raids. Have not yet had opportunity to experience that content. Have done full clear of DH and GP but prior guilds could never muster 20 raid ready peeps at the same time. Will have to stay in a reserve role since my work scedule of 3 days on 3 days off never allows me to commit to any specific days of the week. Ok. SO i have signed up for your HK runs several times and have talked to u in vent a few times and as of yet i have not been included on ur HK runs. I have signed up on the calendar and have made a couple posts. HK and RotP r the only raid dungeons i dont kno. I would like to go but am not getting my hopes up since i have been askin for months now. And this will b the last time i post about it as well

First of all, I'm not sure what you mean by multiple posts since I just checked this thread and the original thread and this is the first post I've ever seen you make. Unless you're talking about some other thread that I have no knowledge of. Secondly, the original thread which is linked in the first post of this thread has a long explanation about spot availability in progression groups. But I'll give you in the short version here in case you don't want to read the long explanation: In order to progress in a progression raid you need 1> gear and 2> group chemistry. Because of this, we do not rotate or switch people around constantly. In fact, the very reason this group has had a slower time with progression is the huge amount of turnover recently. In other words, I can't bring in new people all the time because that hinders progression. This also means that available raid slots are few and when they come open, they must be filled with care. If you cannot commit to being there consistently, then it handicaps the raid. We also have to keep an eye on raid composition, I cannot have an overbalance on one type of class. So yes, it is hard to get into Hammerknell at times. Especially if you're looking for a permanent spot. That's not saying we don't have openings. Especially since the holidays started, we've had alot of new people come in and out. The key there is availability. You have to send me a tell or let me know on vent that you're available that night. Sometimes there are no open slots or we need a different class. But when there is, I will invite the people who whisper me first. And when a more permanent spot does become available, I give strong consideration to those who have been on standby and have experience with us first. Yeah it does suck to be waiting and not be guaranteed a slot. But I have only 20 raid slots available and my responsibility is to give my raid the best opportunity to succeed. So to recap, unfortunately the only way at this time to get in is to stay patient and keep letting me know you're available on our raid nights. Sometimes a little luck and timing are needed. But as quite a few people in and out of this guild can attest to, we do bring plenty of new people into Hammerknell.

Just to clarify.... Bentmer, i have told u in vent several times i was willing and able to go to HK. And the only times anyone from ur raids asked me was when i was running my Random T2 event. I had made a couple topic posts on our forums bout HK as well. And i had (until recently) been signing up on ur calendar roster weekly. Side Note.... Not tryin to b hostile but just sick of not gettin into these events and bein asked ONLY on the nights i have my own events running.....

Now I am really confused. And I'm not sure what you're trying to tell me here buddy. First of all, I think you have the wrong impression about a progression raid. I tried to explain what it was in my previous post but let me be even more blunt. We can't just bring people in no matter how much they want to or ask to come. This raid spends 3 hours a night, 3 days a week raiding which is less than half of what many raiding guilds do. In those 9 hours, we need to devote at least half of the time to learning new bosses. What that means if we have zero leeway to bring in new people even on bosses we're very familiar with. We need to kill the preceding bosses quickly and efficiently in order to have time to progress. In addition, the raid has to develop outstanding chemistry and teamwork in order to perform at the level needed to kill the harder bosses in HK. You need a consistent group of people for that to happen. The signup clearly states that even if you signup for this event (and any event for that matter), it does not guarantee you a spot. It just gives you priority space permitting. We do have openings occasionally. People will miss nights or some will quit the game altogether. When an opening appears, I ask those who send me a tell in game or let me in vent that they're available. These people who are in 'reserve' know that I cannot promise them a spot and that often times there is no available room that night. Fortunately for us, we have an outstanding and patient group of people who regularly make themselves available in this capacity. We could not have gotten where we are today without them. When a more permanent spot on the roster appears, it is from these reserves that I choose from. Lastly, I have never asked you to come to Hammerknell on any of your events. In fact, I don't ever recall saying anything to you besides what I tell all the people who are on reserve, 'I'm not sure if we have room but I'll let you know if we do'. Nobody else has the authority to ask people to the raid besides myself. If someone else in my raid was asking you then they were doing it without my knowledge or consent. I'm sorry for your frustrations but there is nothing else I can do for you. If you do not wish to wait in reserve then the only suggestion I have left for you is to form your own raid. But the rules for this particular raid have been the same since we first started in May 1st 2011. I have tried to be as fair as possible in my dealings with every person who has had interest in raiding with us. As I have said before, I can only invite 19 people to a raid at a time. Not everybody who deserves it gets in.

I can attest to how fair Bentmer is with the raiding group composition. Myself and Pnub asked for a spot around May 2011. We were told exactly what it says above and we made ourselves available that month but the raid was full at that time. We hung around on reserves and logged on for each raid just in case. We were then contacted in June by Bentmer and asked if we could fill 2 spots as 2 people had quit the game, so there was space for a mage and cleric. During our time raiding from June - November the same policy seemed to be applied to others entering the raid. First a waiting list with no guarantees and a spot in reserves, then a more permanent spot thereafter. I only quit the raid because a full-time holiday job meant I could not attend 3 raids a week, and I felt it unfair to just show up occasionally when other people were waiting who could show up 3 times a week. I am not commenting on your personal situation Redneck, just explaining how the process worked for me and that it all seemed very fair and honest in execution :)
