So Aisrine has blessed me with a bit of Irish Gaelic and I though I'd like to share.

Lesson #1 July 13th:
How are you?
Conas ata tu
Cunn-us ah-taw two

"It's not the loot and accolades you walk away with,
it’s the memories and friendships that you cherish forever."

Should add how to pronounce that

ba - goun (ou like that in County) =)

I wish had the health and the money to go to the Irish Language school that has a few sessions a year for immersion in the language that is only an hour from my house.

Go for 'G' rated. I dare you! =D Your words carry far more weight and power than you will ever know. Never expect people to take them the same way either.

This is great. I really love Ireland and my wish is to go to the Northern tip of Ireland where the cliffs meet the Atlantic, deep into Celtic lands.

Thank you for the lessons. Looking forward to more.

I have a Celtic ancestory and my ancestoral name is O'h Odrain.Would love to know how to pronounce it.Apperently a Sept from the Province of Connaught or the County of Mayo.I've found conflicting Crests on the Internet and don't know which Clan they were primarily associated with,so I have no idea of the appropriate Tartan.I've tried multiple searches, but have had little luck. Always end up at pay sights or BiliBobJoeBucks Bathtub Irish Whiskey Recipe.Anyway,if anybody has a little info give me a shout.
I would also like to know how to pronounce all of the Titles and Ranks of Gaiscioch. That way as I sit in front of my monitor talking to myself,I would at least be pronouncing the Gaelic correctly. And yes,I talk to myself often....That's only because I'm the only one who will listen to me.

I need to look for better guides for pronunciation - my book helps, but I really should bite the bullet and try the couple of immersion weekends at the "school" an hour or so from my home. I'd probably enjoy it.

Anyway, tried figuring out faoileann and getting a little confused on it. Also, in modern Irish it has only one 'n' at the end. Closest I get is - fee - lan - where the a is like the a in hat.

Tugg, Odrain is pronouced - Od - ron - first O like English long O, second O like a sound between the A in hat and the O in hot.

I do have an Irish word of the day thing I got off the internet several years ago and is gone now. ((need to find another good site)) I could start posting those - have around 100 words or more minus one I will not put on here because well it is a naughty one they were not ashamed to post. LOL!
