According to this post on the official forums the semi random alignment of WvW opponents based on random assignments of servers that fall close in rating will pick its first non tiered matchups today on reset.

This means we will not necessarily be facing JQ or BG this week. It also opens up the possbility thatthe next few weeks could be good times towork on WvW map completion as colors may or may not be rank based anymore which will open up easy access to towers and keeps we haven't owned in a few months. Also this may match us up against 1 or more opponents who we will dominate potentially allowing full map completion from scratch without difficulty such as has been possible a few times on our 8 month ascent to the top.
I just wanted to make sure anyone who had not heard about the new matchup system was made aware of it and not super confused if we have very different opponents tonight and this coming week.
