There's a thread over on the official forums about the Yak's Bend, Sanctum, Northern Shiverpeaks match because it's actually close.
It'll be interesting to see who manages to stay ahead at the end.

Do we have 1 week or 2 weeks for this matchup? I am rather enjoying the fierce competition. We can all only get better and learn from our experiences in WvW. I am very confident we will continue to climb into more challenging matchups!
I think we are still on the one week schedule. I think it's a good sign that the rating/match up system is working. Hopefully with more and more data all the servers will have great matchups.
Anyone know the current score?
Last I saw today, all three were pretty close.....like all of us within 2k of each other. I believe SoR bumped back up to second with Yak's still in the lead. That was a couple hours ago. SoR had a big slice of the pie throughout the daytime too
I just checked before coming into work and Sanctum of Rall is in third but it's still close. Only 4000 or so points between Sanctum of Rall and NSP which is leading. SoR owned all their own borderland this morning and good chunks of the other two BLs. Each server has one orb respectively. Our overnight crew is doing a great job and has become a major plus for our side. Now this is a good turnaround after early evening yesterday. At one point SoR was kicked around pretty badly, losing basically their whole borderland map and the orb. It was pretty ugly. I played briefly and wasn't on my best character so maybe I was contributing to the problem somewhat. But there was a general lack of cohesion on our server and lots of people running around doing not very useful things in an unfocused shotgun approach. Things started to tighten up a little bit by the time I went to bed around 11:00 PM US Central time. We at least held the north supply camps, two towers, and the garrison. I don't think we had our orb back though at that point. Anyway, I'm glad tonight is Trinity night and I hope we hold our own during the day and can close the gap. I'll bring my first stringer to the line-up tonight and do my best. It's been a close match all week against some very strong opponents. Good stuff.
I had the same thought this morning: All we really need is our Trinity night to put us back on top. It's pretty awesome that things we do as a guild can have so much impact on the server as a whole
This week's matchup also got attention due to Yak's Bend working with SoR due to a hacker. The link for that is in another post on our forums, but still pretty classy of them to do a work around that showed how they felt about having a hacker on their server. But I'm glad we are getting a really good matchup. I've actually been out there here and there this week and enjoying it. Things really do flop around a lot and with a match this close it doesn't seem to matter who owns Stone Mist though people still want to fawn of this. Yesterday morning for example, we had it, then green had it, then red and then back to green. However, we got a lead on points acquisition after we lost it and got our borderlands all the appropriate blue and then went to work on other borderlands about the time I decided I needed a break from it.
Trinity night this week will be a good boost. We may consider being in more communication with other guilds on our server to cover timeslots we don't have as much of a presence in. I think the addition of the Friday night WvW event and others offpeak and during the week are a welcome step in the right direction. I wonder if we can coordinate with Asian/Malaysian/Oceanic guilds like DSA (Dragonsoul Alliance) to cover our offpeak hours to give Darkhaven more of a challenge during the wee hours of the night and morning. Will see what I can do to communicate with some of the late nighters as well, but I think we might consider putting out feelers. Are free server xfers over with yet? We might want to recruit guilds into our alliance that play offpeak to contend with the difficult challenges ahead with servers that did the same already (Eredon Terrace, Crystal Desert, Jade Quarry, etc)
Awesome, I can't wait for Trinity night tonight! It's time to turn the tide!
I checked on my Alt GW2 account, and Xfers between servers still cost 0 gems. Might be a good time to invite offpeak guilds to move here =)
Good work last night guys. We crept back into first place. This morning we were still in first place with every single point owned in SoR borderlands and a good amount in the other three. Plus I saw three commanders on the field early this morning. I think we have a chance to win this.
I was online last night, and some of the folks in Lion Arch we saying that two guilds apparently pulled all-nighters to help us get back to first place. Looks like it payed off. As of 2 hours ago, we still had a 3000 point lead on 2nd. But those two are neck and neck. Apparently if we end up in first, we will play Yaks Bend again next week. So, keep up the good work everyone. We all help the server, regardless of when we play.
