Friday and/or Saturday WvWvW ?

Disclaimer: I am writing this while heavily medicated due to having the onslaught of one the worst flues I have ever had to endure. Thus the legibility of this post may be a bit hard to understand.

I noticed that no WvWvW is schedueled as a family event for Friday or Saturday nights.  I just read Vamps post about how he has left the guild. ( I myself hope he finds his way back to us and soon. ) I understand how this posibly may have interupted any planned WvWvW for the family.  But is there any plans in the works for a Friday or Saturday night WvWvW family event?  I really think it's a blast when the family as a whole groups up and goes smashing through the battle field.  Unfortunately with my work scheduel Friday and Saturday nights are the only nights I can be on beyond 10 pm.

It seems like pickup WvW events are happening every day. There's sure to be someone doing something.

@ Denji. I'm not sure if I'm the best person to answer your question but I can tell ya how I check the GW2 events. On the home page where all the Rift events are listed. The way I read it was all Rift events are blue and the GW2 are red. @ Fog. Yeah there seems to be a few people in the family who seem to be doing WvW. I just miss the families large scale WvW planned events. That we use to do on Beta weekends. I was wondering if any of those were being planned for the up and coming Friday and Saturday by some of the Elders. If not then I understand and I'll plan my weekend gaming to do pve content. Because to be honest I loved the WvW because it was a large amount of the family getting together to do a large scale event together. Family time :) ... granted our Friday and Saturday family re-unions are focused on slaughtering other players BUT.. that doesn't mean it's not quality, family... um slaughtering time? lol. That really sounds demented but you get my jest. @ Jexia. Thank you for investigating. @ The Elders and any family members who plan all the events. Thank you so much for all the hard work. You people add so much to the gaming and over all fun by selflessly giving up your time and hard work. I hope you all know that the rest of us don't take you for granted and appreciate all your effort.

Hi, I have noticed a few scattered family members in WvW and I myself am still lvling and learning but we should make sure that when we enter the WvW we get on raid call and into the correct sub group. If we do this regularly I'm sure that more smaller groups will be able to work together better when there are no big events set up.

Pretty much the way family events work is that we try to have at least 1 major family event for each room of the house. Monday PM: WvW with Spartan Thursday PM: WvW with Foghladha & Spartan Friday PM: GW2 101 with Bes Saturday AM: Crafting Focus Event with Lakshmi Sunday AM: PvE Focused Event with Foghladha (Rotating between Rift and GW2) Sunday Early AM: WvW with Elth and the night crew We have plans for a Roleplay event to launch soon just working on the logistics. Now the thing about Elders is we are not supposed to be the only ones leading events. The Elders are a support team for the activity leaders. We went to great lengths to make sure the eldership is NOT comprised of Activity Leaders because the tasks we do take away from game time. We prefer to keep Activity Leads on the battlefield running events and then pull them in once a month during our warlord meetings to discuss what we can do to make their events more successful. Every member Lorgair and higher has the ability to lead an event for the family. It SHOULD NOT be only elders running events. If you want to run something please grab the reigns and run it. If we wait for the Eldership to run it not much is going to be happening because all of our elders get tied up with management and don't have the ability to break free and lead. That is why we have the family set up the way we do. The elders build the house, the activity leads (warlords) throw parties, and the rest of the family fills the house with life and laughter. All 3 roles play their part and we need all 3 for the family to succeed. Personally Friday and Saturdays are the ONLY days in the whole week i have the opportunity to see my wife. I can't spend those in game. Play how you want, when you want, as long as you want. That goes for elders too.

To see whats going on go to: http://guildwars.gaiscioch.com/. That page will show you all Guild Wars 2 events that are listed on the calendar. There are roughly 30 events a day that are not listed on the calendar and are fly by the moment. Just look in raid call and see who's where. There's almost always someone in each WvW zone.

I'm waiting for the WvW matchups to stabilize into the 2 week brackets. Once that happens I plan on leading some sort of WvW zerg/group/party/thing every day, especially friday and saturday since those are the only days of the week I can stay up late. I used to lead all the time in Warhammer, was very close to Vamp and Oldroar. I have a similar strategy style but I'm not very good at being a leader.

I haven't participated in any WvWvW events as of yet, and I have know idea how to begin. You will most likely see me at the next scheduled event, but I will have lots of questions ;)
