Breaking the Ice Event

Can't wait for the WvWvW event tonight!!  I'm having a hard time concentrating at work.  It'll be the first guild PvP event I've had the chance to attend.  Been waiting for this ever since I saw those AN videos....

^^ me too! I have been having so much fun with the WvWvW regulars, but we have been outnumbered on almost every encounter. This is going to be super fun tonight with everyone there!

I ended up calling in sick to work. Man I hope nobody I work with is a member here... ;)

I'm pretty excited to be back to the Family warbands too. It's been a time, and some of the fondest memories I have of my MMORPG time come from the Gaiscioch Family Warbands from the late Warhammer Online. I'll be logging on RC right now, but bear in mind i have Mic problems so I will only be listening, which is ok since I'm just a regular private in this new war. :) See you all online in a minute.

I was with ya Hobbes. I don't think our event is up yet as there were many last minute changes.

Aye it's up for claiming be sure you select Gw2 as your game, and it's under Spartan's wvw campaign.

I had a blast, and although I will be sleepy at work today (the downside of East coast time zone) it was well worth it. Can't wait for a WvWvW event on a Friday or Saturday, where I can stay in it all night.

Hello all. New Gaiscioch family member here (long time gamer) but new to WvWvW. I attended last night but simply could not get past the queue (tried all three). The frustration was high - having to listen to RaidCall play by play and not join. I am not at all sure if I am doing something wrong - I queued like the rest (after joining a group - disbanded), joined another) - and sat - for an hour - no go. Didn't want to pester anyone. I may need a mentor for a brief time just to get my feet wet. Anyone planning on going to Thursday's that can help direct for a bit? - I assume it must be me. I learn quickly but was baffled I couldn't get in.

The hard cap on players per side per battleground is going to mean that some people won't be able to get in. If you're stuck in the queue, let someone in Raidcall know! There might not be anything anyone can do, especially up until squad books open the options more. At 100 gold each, it could take a bit for us to get the warlords the books they need to keep us together in events.
