All:

I have not been part of GSCH for very long, so this post is probably not even warranted, however I have made a decision I do want to share. I spend most of my time playing WvW in GW2 and have found the WvW community on SoR to be frustrating. It has grown to the point where its no longer enjoyable to play WvW.  I am going to transfer to a different server and see if I can once again find enjoyment in GW2 WvW. While I have only been a member of GSCH for a little over a month, it is by far the most impressive guild I have had the pleasure to be a member of. I do plan to stay a member of this gaming community as long as I am welcome. The hardest part of transferring is that feeling I am leaving GSCH behind. We have, without question, the most amazing people as  guild members.  If I can continue to guest and help earn influence for the guild by attending events I would be honored to do so.

Good luck! There are many family members on different servers and we still love them and group with them. See you for missions! If you ever need a body for dungeons give me a hollar. o/

The wonderful thing about Gaiscioch is that it's so much bigger than any one server, or even any one game. I'm not on SoR either, I transferred to Yak's Bend a while back, but as GSCH allows cross-server membership and representation in PvE, I don't feel like I've left them behind. So follow your heart and have fun, and don't worry, Gaiscioch is no less awesome and welcoming regardless of what server you're on  -  as you can tell from BananaPancakes reply above! :)

With the transition to megaservers, I'm seeing GSCH SoR-based members frequently in PvE these days even when not guesting (since guild is one of the factors the system uses for assigning players to maps), and I suspect that's going to increasingly be the case.

I for one will certainly miss you out in WvW, but you should be having fun.... so do what it takes. No matter what server you go to you are always welcome with the family in PvE and I hope that you stay in touch.

I haven't known any of you very long, but I will miss you.  The only two times (and so, my first two times) I participated to WvW, I saw that big "bear looking giant with a upside-down spider hanging out on his back" come up to me and offer to help, showing me where things to pick up supplies, helping me with wayshrines and advice, as well as answering my questions.

I also saw you countless times, backtrack in my direction to ensure I was able to catch up to the group.

It made me feel welcome and not such a burden after all, even if I didn't understand much of the WvW.

This was truly appreciated and for that, I thank you!  I hope that you find again that enjoyment that seem to have left you for the moment!

As someone who spent a long time on SoR (more than 2 years), AND spent time on different servers (6 months on IoJ and FA) in search of better WvW experiences, I can give you a little advice: do your homework before you switch. Every server has its own unique personality, but all servers have a lot in common as well. No matter where you go you are going to encounter friendly, helpful people, but you are also going to encounter lots of rude, caustic trolls. Also, keep in mind that your wvw experience is shaped as much by the behavior of your opponents as it is by your home server. You may like to play an active game and look for fights, but if your opponents refuse to fight you and instead hit you with ACs from their walls, you are not going to have much fun. I don't know what you are looking for but I can tell you that no tier is perfect. The bronze tiers suffer from underpopulation and can be boring outside of NA prime. Silver servers have a little more population but matches tend to be really lopsided, and decimating your opponent is just as boring and frustrating for you is as is for them. Gold league servers always have something going on, but typically have very static matches. You can't attack a tower without getting hit by multiple ACs, and the stability change has really changed the meta to "he who has the biggest blob wins." Lastly, remember that gw2 has a block feature and ts has a mute feature for dealing with annoying people. Don't be afraid to use them.

very valid point Osu. A lot of times greener pastures can lead us astray and all we end up with is a hole in our heart that can't be filled. I'm not entirely 100% sure what it is you're looking for Outlaw, whether its bigger fights, smaller fights, or just more serious hard-core wvw guilds. SOR has been through a lot and the Hard-Core's left a bad taste in a lot of our mouths so it wont be likely that you'll find those on SOR and we're ok with that.  We as a server don't want to be tier 1 again. We just don't want to be tier none. Right now our comfort zone seems to be Tier 6 and 7 for now. That all may change when we get a few more guilds and players transferring over to fill the coverage caps but for now it's a good fit.

Just be certain your not transferring because of the "Fights". Because those will change week to week no matter where you go. GOM is historical for sandbagging their way into bronze then out of nowhere having a huge influx of people (rolls eyes). We've seen them do this 3 wvw seasons in a row. This is what they do. They dropped out of top of Bronze and now woke up to restore themselves to the top seed in bronze. Once they get there they will go dormant again. This is typical of a sandbagging team. I see this a lot in football and especially bowling. Bowlers are historical for performing badly first half of the season so they can get the easy wins later on.

I will truly miss you in WvW if you transfer Outlaw. You have been amazing by asking all the right questions and re-acting promptly and efficiently on the answers:). I agree with all comments above and please don't forget that the new Expansion coming will be a huge change in how we fight up there as well. We will all be learning new tactics. You have a great sense of humour and you help everyone when you can. I want you to be happy, however, the grass isn't always greener on the other side:). You are a Gaiscioch and will always be part of the family and no matter what you decide, you will always be a friend.

Outlaw, if you are looking for fights, it looks like T3 is the place to be now. Even some guys I knew from FA went to Maguuma because they got sick of SoS and YB and their endless ppting. To be perfectly honest, I only just got back to SoR and am considering heading to T3. I knew T6 would be quiet, but was not prepared for it to be THIS quiet.

Thanks for all the constructive information. I went to Maguuma as I read that T3 has the best balance for fights. I will be back on SoR at some point, I have no doubt.  I can log in at any crazy time here and and jump into a havoc group, ktrain, etc.  Not really looking to join a guild here, I have my guild in GSCH.  ( I understand not to run the GSCH tag in WvW so I  just run in my personal guild). I will be hitting some PvE events with you guys soon though.
