Lindsey Sterling

I have followed her since she appeared on AGT and we even did an article on her in our Gaiscioch Magazine.  If you have never seen or heard about her  check her out on YouTube:

She really is awesome.  Anyway...

I found out two years ago on a drive to California that both of my grandsons (13 at the time) also loved her when I pulled up her songs on my Ipod.  They both exclaimed "You like Lindsey Sterling?".  We then had a whole discussion about her and how great she was.  Who would have thought that this young lady would have spanned generations and brought my grandsons and me even closer together - with a simple thing like the violin. 

Well, I got the chance - a slim one, they sold out fast - to buy tickets to her concert here in Phoenix for Aug. 13th and splurged on 3 of them.  As soon as I knew that she was going to be here I checked with both moms (as they are in charge, after all) that it would be ok to take them on a school night.  I knew my daughter would be fine with it as she is pretty much just like me. But wasn't sure about my ex daughter-in-law - then she surprised.  "Oh, my God yes - take him. I know it's a school night and he'll get home late, but this will create a memory he'll never forget, he loves her so much."  That is pretty much what I was thinking.

We went, we saw, we listened, we were absolutely mesmerized.  She is an enchanter, no doubt my mind.  A Pied Piper with a violin instead of a flute.  A siren who strums out her songs with strings in lieu of vocal chords. 

It was a truly magical adventure that neither my grandsons nor I will soon, if ever, forget.  I felt as if we were watching live action music videos which we have now been discussing for weeks after it was over.  If I ever have the chance to see her again in person I will but the only drawback to that is I know I will now be obligated to always by 3 tickets.  :)

If you ever have a chance to see this woman perform in person I highly recommend that you take the journey with her it is well worth the ride.

i love her as well. a friend of mine was going through his ipod and i happen to see lindsey's name come up and i was like you like lindsey sterling and he was like you like her(and a very strange look followed) and i looked at him even starnger and said you r looking at me surprised when your the one who like all the screaming deathmetal and then bam lindsey sterling i guess she is just that unique

She is. 

What I found very interesting about her - which is awesome - she openly talked about her fight with depression and how she turned it around to inspire her.  She wants everyone to know that they aren't alone - there are people that will help.  She is an inspiration in more ways than one.      ;

I agree, she is incredible.

I love that she embodies passion and perseverance, and that she did not let personal trial keep her from triumph. Now she is a phenomenon all her own, an original force.

I intend to catch her in concert as soon as the opportunity presents itself.

Would also like to share a link to this video she did with John Legend on All of Me (a personal favorite). Talk about enchanting...

Have seen her in Seattle and enjoyed her career of covers as well as her "start" on one of the network reality/talent competition shows (cannot remember which one, only that they dissed/dismissed her and were WRONG for it).

Have a Sterling channel on Pandora that is my "go to" for happy music.
