Blade and Soul: NA Closed Beta coming this Fall

I just got email that BnS is finally going to get a West release.  Its a NCSoft game (ie of Korean origin), for anyone not familiar with it and its West release was bumped last year, due to Wildstar, with the entire staff being dissolved.   I forget the details and NCSoft was rather hush about what happened, but overall a lot of us who were watching the game, thought that it would never come to the West.

While I've never played it, some people that I know do play the Chinese version (there's an English fan-mod for the Chinese client) and they really love it.  I've been more or less lazy and never got around to following the fan-FAQ for signing up, downloading, installing English mod and all of that.

Anyway, if you've been wondering what happened to BnS... the rumors were true, its officially coming to the West! (again... /cautiouslyoptimistic)

Think I'll pass on this one. Watching impossibly proportioned ladies wearing nothing more than a few bandaids held in place with dental floss sounds like it would fun for a couple hours, but i imagine it would get old fast. Saw a character creation video on youtube. You gotta be kidding me!!!!

Yes, like any other Asian-origined game, its designed for a niche audience and may be aesthetically displeasing and/or offensive to folks with a more conservative taste in the graphical style of their games.  Its typically why most Western localizations of Asian games are graphically "censored" or otherwise altered.  I've always found that to be ironic, since Koreans and Japanese are much more conservative in culture than Americans and consider us to have the loose, tasteless morals.  Go figure.

So be warned, if anyone is offended by ... well, anything, then this game is probably not worth your time to go look at.

Moving on, I missed the Livestream earlier this morning and its probably too early to view the video archive for it, so hopefully they'll release that.
