Homemade Pizza
What you need:
2 teaspoons of Sugar
1 packet of active dry yeast
1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil
2 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon of salt
1 can tomato paste
1 can tomato sauce (I use Hunts with Basil, Garlic, and Oregano)
3-4 cloves of garlic
dried basil
oregano
1 pound ground Italian sausage
1 pack of pepperoni
2 cups mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
The Dough
-Grab a large bowl. Combine 1 cup warm water, the sugar, and the yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes.
-Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil, the flour, and salt. Stir until it's sticky.
-Turn onto a floured surface. Knead until it's smooth.
-Place in bowl. Let rise for an hour.
-Pre-Heat oven to 475.
-Lightly coat baking pan with olive oil or cooking spray
-Fit dough on pan then bake for 5-10 minutes. (Until dough looks partially cooked.)
The Sausage
In a pan, fully cook your sausage. It's up to you but I prefer to season it to taste with basil and oregano. However, you will be adding it to the sauce too.
When meat is fully cooked set aside until you're ready to put it on the pizza.
The Sauce
In a pan, sauté the garlic then add the can of tomato paste, tomato sauce, basil, and oregano. Lightly heat it.. but not "cooking" it. Just to make sure it's mixed well and the paste isn't clumpy.
Building the Pizza
Evenly spread the sauce mixture you made onto the partially cooked dough. Add thin later of cheese. I just sprinkle it on you should see gaps of red sauce showing.
Then add about half of your pepperoni and sausage. Cover with the rest of the cheese. Now take the remaining pepperoni and sausage and make the final layer.
Optional: Because if you're a spice freak like me.. sprinkle to taste basil and oregano.
Place in oven until cheese is melted and crust is lightly golden.
Crock Pot Roast Sliders w/ Creamy Sauce
(1) 3-4 lb. beef roast
1 cup water
1 cup salsa
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 envelope dry Italian dressing mix
1 envelope Au Jus mix
King Hawaiian rolls
Swiss cheese slices
Creamy Sauce:
1/4 cup sour cream
2 tbsp. chili sauce
2 tsp. creamy horseradish sauce
Add the water, salsa, onion soup mix, dry Italian mix, and Au Jus to the crock pot.
Stir to make sure everything is mixed well
Add Roast
Simmer on low for 8ish hours~
Simmer on high for 4ish hours~
I went with high due to making it around lunchtime that way it would be ready for dinner.
For the sauce, just combine the ingredients together.
When the meat is done you can make your sliders. Don't forget to add your cheese!
