Hm, wonder how I can make this work with Norton's Firewall, since it replaces the Windows Firewall. I'll have to poke around.
Wow this actually worked...I have a crappy connection and youtube is an issue with it, takes longer to load a video in 240p than the length of the video. But now it seems even up to 720p is loading quick enough to watch and not get stopped.
nice.....worked :). I hated how the vids would load instantly to 1/4 and then stop and wait for the vid to catch up. This solved it nicely.
I would highly suggest blocking the CDN cache IP's on the router instead of your system. This will resolve the problem for your entire household, including appliances which do not have user tools for UDP/TCP/IP blocking like Xbox, PS3, tablets, etc. You might also have to change the IP's in this guide to whatever hosts you're resolving too as well (to find these you might have to put a call into your ISP's support line).
