Greetings!

On October 13th 2012 at 6PM PST the Gaiscioch Family will be holding a State of the Family event for all Gaiscioch & Tuatha members, Server Communities, Media, and Developers. In this event we will cover how we began, how we work, what we've done, where we're at, and where we're going. We will take some time to introduce our Elder and Warlord teams and the rooms of our house they help strengthen.

I would also like to introduce any Tuatha guild leaders. If any Tuatha Guilds would like to be represented please contact me in advance so I can coordinate with you. I will do my best to give an overview of what the Tuatha program is and who is part of it.

At the end of the event I will open the floor up for questions. I welcome you all to join us. Be sure to show up early so that we can get everyone into the right channel on RaidCall. This event will be recorded and available for download and playback.

Did anyone take notes that could fill in those that were not there?

Fog said it was recorded and would be made available after for those who weren't there. So I'm sure we will see something about that soon, I was only able to stay for half and would like to listen to the second half.

Thanks for posting the audio.

I remember when I first joined a battle for badlands events on Warhammer. I went to several before I finally asked for membership. I was so nervous about joining. I made sure I got my best toon ready for joining, but what I shock I got that the family was just so accepting. I am sad that I missed much of the family in Rift but so nice to be with everyone again in Guild Wars 2. Seeing those I know from Warhammer and meeting new people who came from Rift. This guild has been one of the best groups of people I've ever played with :)

Thank you for posting this, I wasn't able to attend. I noticed you mentioned an interest in becoming a non-profit a couple times and I wanted to offer to assist you with that as I can. I am an accountant and after my divorce, once I pulled myself out of my depression, I started a local sports team "in my spare time" haha. We're now getting ready for our second season and I have registered them as a 501(c)4 with the IRS. I keep all the books and filed our first tax return, which is basically an e card :)

Anywho, if you do decide to persue that route and need a hand, let me know.

That was great!  I haven't been playing with the Family lately, just mostly burned out on both chapters.  The industry just feels really dry right now, with all the interesting stuff still a year out.  When Fog was talking about those people that take long breaks between chapters, that was definitely describing me.  I am that guy.  I have the Gaiscioch page as one of my home tabs, and check  in all the time, even if I'm not currently participating in a chapter.  I still feel like I'm a member, even when I'm not wearing tags in any game. :)

Personally, I'm pretty excited for Camelot Unchained.  I know it doesn't necessarily fit in with the normal Gaiscioch formula, but it seems like fewer and fewer games will meet those requirements, at least in the near future of the industry.  It's good to hear Fog talk about that a bit, I think it was spot on.  I'm really hoping Camelot Unchained delivers, I'm a backer, I don't have total confidence, but we'll see.  Their core philosophies of game design seem to be solid, and that's really promising.  It won't have a PvE component, which I realize would be somewhat of an accommodation for a Gaiscioch chapter, but if they make the crafting, building, and economy components compelling enough, I'm not sure it would be significantly missed.  We'll see!  Albion Online also looks really cool!  Love the cross-platform.  Can't wait to see how it turns out.  Haven't checked out Landmark, so I'm reserving judgement on Everquest Next.  From what SOE has said though, it sounds like it could be on track to be the next big MMO.  Time will tell.

Can't wait for the Seeds, and whatever the result is, I'll definitely be with you guys in the next chapter!
