I tried fighting in wabba last night went from 80fps to 7fps. I'm not sure if its just wabba or the other campaigns.
No fix until Monday :(

I had it even worse, going down to 2 or 3 FPS in combat. It was like that scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, where they see the enemy charging in the distance - they are far away...still far away...still far away...SUPRISE suddenly they are in your face! lol
BUT I fixed it and here's how.
1) Reboot/Restart your computer. Plenty of times ESO has crashed and/or frozen up and I've exited to the desktop. But I had not restarted my computer in over a week. Don't ask me why, but in the cases I've read in forums where people have fixed it, They started with a complete reboot.
2)If the lag develops again (there seems to be a pattern of it occurring after several deaths in combats where lots of people are on the screen/in the area) just relog this time to the Character Selection Screen, and log back in.
The above worked for me last night on Wabbajack. I only rebooted once, and the rest of the night I had to relog (to Char Screen) twice. I probably played about 3 to 4 hours.
I hope most of you don't have any problems, but if you do, I hope this helps and works for you.
Peace.
from the link you provided:
from what i have seen on the forums this is not specific to wabbajack. if anything its more apparent because there are more people there.
there are a lot of people posting various unproven solutions to the issue, but most of the revolve around lowering graphics settings esp those that are unimportant to pvp like shadows and level of detail.
A lot of the bugs introduced with this weeks patch should be fixed monday. *Crossing Fingers*
yeah i had that happen last night and i just logged out of character and back in and boom it was gone
The patch mentioned above did not fix the problem and in fact made it worse. There is supposedly a fix coming next monday, that would be July 7, 2014. Many players are avoiding AvA until this is fixed as the problem is very bad right now. There are a number of "home grown fixes" wandering out there in cyperspace... everything from its a sound problem to its a problem with your video driver, etc....
Bottom line is that this is something that the developers have acknowledged, and have stated publicly on their forums that the will fix on Mondays patch. In the mean time, be aware that the fix noted above of logging out and back in does work temporarily, you will have to log out many times if you are in a highly contested area.

Yea, setting both Music and Sound to OFF does seem to give me a bit more time, but eventually its a slideshow and I can't even turn a corner unless I reboot. I have played with everything under the sun, nothing works.
I think that the sound is a different issue. Unless its something with DirectShow. That's the only DX library that would affect both sound and video, at least that I can think off of top of my head. Don't know, don't care, its not my job to fix it, so I hope that they can figure it out. The game ran great for me before they made that update to their lighting system. Well, besides that stutter issue issue with the SET RequestedNumJobThreads "-1" and SET RequestedNumWorkerThreads "-1" lines that we had to change to "0".
Well again Patch 1.2.5 is out (Monday morning 7/7 and basically did nothing to fix the problem with FPS issues most of us are encountering in Wabba or any other AvA battlefield.
As a long time supporter of the game I will continue to do so, but not with as much enthusiasm I had prelaunch, etc.
Lack of a proper response from the developers is the main cause of my concern. Rather than stop everything and fix this serious problem they continue to "add new content or fixes for minor problems." This is no way to establish and nurture player confidence.
Shame on you Zenimax!

I found it better, problem has not been fixed. but I was in AvA for a good part of the day and only had to log off twice to get rid of the problem... in my eyes that is much better
Latest post I found from Zenimax
Found under ZOS - 1.2.5 failure in the forums

Greetings folks!
A hot-fix for the performance issues (FPS drop among other things) is currently being tested. We will keep you updated as soon as we are ready to implement it.
Thank you!"
Again it is nice to see input from the Zenimax team, but this is nothing new! Jessica said basically the same thing twice now in the past two weeks. I would expect a more detailed response from the dev team, with an eta at least.

New hot fix patch was just uploaded today to fix fps after the patch yesterday can`t check as not t home but hope it works X fingers
New Performance (FPS) Issues Hotfix
We have identified the primary cause of the performance issues (FPS drops) that some of you have been experiencing since we released v1.2.3. This has been most noticeable in Cyrodiil, but also in PVE areas. We have pushed a client hotfix to the both North American and European megaservers. This hotfix will require you to log out of the game and patch before it is applied.
We sincerely thank you for your patience as we work to improve game performance. Please let us know how the game plays for you after this hotfix.
Thank you.
I've just downloaded the patch, but have not played yet, about to log in and test. Please post your results whenever you get the chance, I will too. Try not to focus too much on PvE issues, because there are multiple issues going on, the largest being with Cyrodiil.
Pay attention to your sound as well. I saw a fix for that issue this morning, but I didn't get on my Sorcerer to see if the Storm Calling skill stutter was fixed or not. (it involved audio)
Played for about an hour... did multiple siege battles at keeps with graphics full blast and sound on an NO FPS issues!!!!!! I think they got it fixed... YIPPPEEEEEE !!!
Played this morning with our group. The FPS does seem to be better. It is not 100% where it was prior to 1.2.3 but is much better and is playable. Did still experience some issues with rubberbanding, and lag, but that was present prior to 1.2.3 also.
Was not able to test in a huge 3 way battle but I am encouraged by the improvements.

was in there a lot today, and my fps never went below 15.. even in huge battles... haave to say what ever they did has help quite a bit
FPS was a LOT better (at least AvA is playable again), but its still not back to pre-1.2.3 performance. I do have to adjust my setting a little lower than I used to and there's some strange client/server synch issues when in combat with players, that I'm running into. That could be related to the rubberbanding that Kaitlyn mentioned, but not sure, because I didn't notice it until Monday's patch and never before that.
My take-away: I'm still not sure what they're doing, it seems like they're introducing stuff that's just degrading the performance of the game and causing more problems to fix, rather than focusing on fixing the common issues first, then re-evaluating if they actually need to introduce these things like lighting changes. I really do agree with public opinion on that they should roll that back. The game looked great and sounded great, and now its just a mess of visual and muffled audio and performance problems.
Have to agree Sek. I am getting more disconnects and freezes now than prior to 1.2.3. I am quite dissappointed in the response to issues in AvA to this point. They are trying but each time they try they are coming up short, with little or no feedback to their customers regarding their progress. Responses like we have been getting from the Customer service crew are lacking in content and quality.
I certainly continue to have high hopes for this game but my patience is wearing thin with each failed patch.
